Objective To analyze the relationship of the volume of 87 brain regions with postnatal age and neurobehavior in full-term neonates.Methods A total of 75 full-term newborns[gestational age(39.38±1.22)weeks;male/female(51/24);postnatal age(11.11±6.67)days]without abnormalities on brain MRI(three-dimensional T1-weighted imaging,3D T1WI)at our hospital between November 2010 and September 2017 were retrospectively included.Based on the template of 87 brain regions,the neonatal brains were divided into 87 brain regions and their volumes were calculated by using V-shape Bottleneck network(VB-Net)deep learning segmentation technique,Pearson partial correlation and regression analysis were used to explore the relationship of the volume of each brain region with postnatal age and neurobehavioral scores.Results After adjusting for gestational age,birth weight,head circumference,body length and sex,66.7％of the regional brain volumes(58/87 brain regions)significantly increased with the postnatal age(correlation coefficient r:0.2-0.7,P＜0.05).The volumes of gray matter in bilateral lentiform nucleus,left caudate nucleus,right occipital lobe,right inferior temporal lobe,and bilateral anterior temporal lobe strongly correlated with the postnatal age(r＞0.50,P＜0.05).The gray matter volume of the right occipital lobe linearly increased with age(slope:100.67),and was positively correlated with behavioral scores(r=0.324,P＜0.01).Conclusion Most of regional brain volumes increase with the postnatal age during the neonatal period,and the fastest growth occurs in primary sensorimotor-related brain regions,presenting the spatial heterogeneity.Partial brain region grows with the development of behavioral ability.

Objective To explore the effect of exposure to noise of 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)on children's cochlear function.Methods We prospectively recruited 72 children who underwent cranial MRI examination at our hospital from May to November 2018;3M earplugs and sponge mats were used for hearing protection during MRI scanning.Noise level(dBA)of each MRI sequence was detected with a nonmagnetic microphone and a sound level meter.Distortion product otoacoustic emissions(DPOAE)test at 2-7 kHz was performed 24 hours before and 30 minutes after the MRI examination.Paired t-test or Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to analyze differences in DPOAE amplitude before and after the MRI examination.Results The average noise level of MRI measured in the study was(107.7±3.92)dBA.Compared with that before the MRI examination,the DPOAE amplitude(dB)changed little after the MRI examination;the range of amplitude differences in each age group was as follows:left ear(-0.24-1.10)and right ear(-0.24-0.74)in the 0-1 year-old group;left ear(-0.07-0.59)and right ear(-0.57-0.75)in the 2-5 year-old group;left ear(-0.36-0.44)and right ear(-0.30-0.57)in the 6-12 year-old group.No statistically significant difference was found(correction P＞0.05).Conclusion No potential impact of 3.0T MRI noise on children's cochlear function was observed under routine hearing protection.

In recent years, the incidence of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) has been increasing with the aging of the population, and the cognitive impairment caused by it has brought huge burden to patients and their families. As a novel inflammatory biomarker, lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A 2 (Lp-PLA 2) directly participates in the pathogenesis of cognitive impairment in patients with CSVD by regulating circulatory vascular injury and neuroinflammation, and is expected to become a predictive indicator and therapeutic target for CSVD.

Objective:To explore the effect of intervention model based on comprehensive nutrition management on glucose and lipid metabolism and pregnancy outcome in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).Methods:104 GDM patients admitted to Shanxi Bethune Hospital from February 2022 to March 2023 were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 52 cases in each group. The control group implemented routine management measures and nutrition guidance, while the experimental group implemented an intervention model based on comprehensive nutrition management on the basis of routine management. The indexes of glucose and lipid metabolism (glycosylated hemoglobin, fasting blood glucose, 2 h postprandial blood glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol), pregnancy outcome, self-management ability and self-efficacy were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Results:Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in general situation, glucose and lipid metabolism index, self-management ability and self-efficacy between the two groups ( P>0.05). After the intervention, the level of glucose and lipid metabolism index in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance ( P<0.05). The incidence of adverse pregnancy outcome in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance ( P<0.05). The scores of self-management ability and self-efficacy in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The intervention model based on comprehensive nutrition management can effectively improve the glucose and lipid metabolism index and pregnancy outcome of GDM patients, and significantly improve their self-management ability and self-efficacy related to nutrition management, which has high clinical application and promotion value.

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of ultrasound induction combined with acupunc-ture points and polyethylene glycol 4000 powder for treating constipation in elderly patients with hip fracture. Methods A randomized parallel controlled method was adopted.A total of 100 inpatients meeting the inclu-sion criteria were divided into the control group and treatment group.Fifty cases in the control group were given polyethylene glycol 4000 powder,10 g/d,taking at a draught in 1 h after lunch.Fifty cases in the treat-ment group adopted the ultrasound induction combined with Shenque acupoint and Guanyuan acupoint,which was implemented at 1 h after lunch every day,once a day,30 min each time,and the intensity was appropriate for the patients to tolerate.The two groups were continuously treated for 1 week.The clinical symptoms be-fore and after treatment in the two groups were observed.The constipation score,quality of life score,treat-ment efficacy and safety were compared between before and after treatment.Results There were 3 dropout cases in the control group and 47 cases were finally included.Among them,14 cases were excellently effective,20 cases were effective,13 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 72.34％;there were 2 dropout cases in the treatment group and 48 cases were finally included.Among them,15 cases were excellently effec-tive,18 cases were effective,15 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 68.75％;the total effec-tive rate had no statistical difference between the two groups (P>0.05).The effect onset time of the treat-ment group was earlier than that of the control group with statistical difference (P<0.05).The abdominal symptom dimension and total score in the constipation scores after treatment in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treat-ment,the physiological,satisfaction dimension scores and total score in life quality score in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). During the test process,2 cases in the control group had adverse drug reactions,which manifested by mild di-arrhea at the end of the treatment course,and no adverse reactions were found in the treatment group.Conclu-sion The ultrasound induction combined with acupuncture points for treating constipation in elderly patients with hip fracture has equivalence with polyethylene glycol 4000 powder,moreover which has the advantages in the aspects of effect onset time and improvement of abdominal symptoms.

Objective:To evaluate the distribution characteristics of choroidal vascularity index (CVI) in macula among normal children using swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT), and to investigate the influencing factors.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted.Sixty-three children aged 6 to 12 years were enrolled in The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from May 2021 to November 2021.Spherical equivalent refraction, axial length (AL) and other ocular biological parameters were measured.Macula-centered CVI and choroidal thickness (ChT) were measured by SS-OCT angiography.According to the ETDRS partition, the obtained image was divided into macular central fovea (0-1 mm diameter), inner ring (1-3 mm diameter) and outer ring (3-6 mm diameter) zones.Data from the right eye were selected for statistical analysis.CVI in the three rings and four zones (superior, temporal, inferior and nasal zones) of the inner and outer rings were compared.Univariate and multiple linear regression analyses were used to analyze the correlation between CVI and sex, AL, anterior chamber depth (ACD), ChT and pupil diameter.This study adhered to the Declaration of Helsinki.The study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University (No.2021-KY-0399-003). Written informed consent was obtained from each guardian.Results:The average CVI in the macular central fovea, inner ring and outer ring were 0.35±0.12, 0.32±0.10 and 0.27±0.08, respectively, with a significant difference ( F=10.96, P<0.001), and significant differences in CVI were found in pairwise comparisons of the three ring zones (all at P<0.05). Significant differences in CVI were found among superior, temporal, inferior and nasal zones in inner and outer rings ( Fring=11.60, P=0.001; Fzone=12.02, P<0.05). The CVI was smaller in superior and nasal zones in inner ring than in temporal zone, greater in superior, temporal and inferior zones in outer ring than in nasal zone, smaller in superior zone of outer ring than that of the inner ring, and the differences were statistically significant (all at P<0.001). The single factor linear regression analysis showed that ChT in the fovea, inner ring and outer ring were the influencing factors of CVI in the three ring zones (all at β=0.001, P<0.001). Pupil diameter ( β=0.034, P=0.038; β=0.040, P=0.003; β=0.024, P=0.011) and ACD ( β=0.097, P=0.034; β=0.097, P=0.013; β=0.061, P=0.032) were the influencing factors of CVI in fovea, inner ring and outer ring.After multiple linear regression analysis, the regression equations were established as follows: CVI in the macular fovea=0.001×ChT in the macular fovea + 0.001×ChT in the inner ring+ 0.001×ChT in the outer ring-0.301 ( R2=0.514, F=6.875, P<0.001); CVI in the inner ring=0.001×ChT in the macular fovea+ 0.001×ChT in the inner ring+ 0.001×ChT in the outer ring+ 0.088×AL-0.307 ( R2=0.603, F=9.870, P<0.001); CVI in the outer ring=0.001×ChT in the macular fovea+ 0.001×ChT in the inner ring+ 0.001×ChT in the outer ring-0.135 ( R2=0.601, F=9.781, P<0.001). Conclusions:In children aged 6-12 years old, the CVI is higher in the macular central fovea than in inner and outer rings, and the CVI in nasal zone is the smallest in both inner and outer rings.The thicker the ChT, the higher the CVI in all zones in the macular area; the deeper the anterior chamber, the higher the CVI in the inner ring.

Proteomic characterization of plasma is critical for the development of novel pharmacodynamic bio-markers.However,the vast dynamic range renders the profiling of proteomes extremely challenging.Here,we synthesized zeolite NaY and developed a simple and rapid method to achieve comprehensive and deep profiling of the plasma proteome using the plasma protein corona formed on zeolite NaY.Specifically,zeolite NaY and plasma were co-incubated to form plasma protein corona on zeolite NaY(NaY-PPC),followed by conventional protein identification using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry.NaY was able to significantly enhance the detection of low-abundance plasma proteins,minimizing the"masking"effect caused by high-abundance proteins.The relative abundance of middle-and low-abundance proteins increased substantially from 2.54％to 54.41％,and the top 20 high-abundance proteins decreased from 83.63％to 25.77％.Notably,our method can quantify approxi-mately 4000 plasma proteins with sensitivity up to pg/mL,compared to only about 600 proteins iden-tified from untreated plasma samples.A pilot study based on plasma samples from 30 lung adenocarcinoma patients and 15 healthy subjects demonstrated that our method could successfully distinguish between healthy and disease states.In summary,this work provides an advantageous tool for the exploration of plasma proteomics and its translational applications.

Objective:To investigate the curative effects of Beck's cognitive therapy (BCT) combined with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) on post-stroke sleep disorders in patients.Methods:A total of 120 patients with post-stroke sleep disorders who were diagnosed and treated in Wenzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine between January and December 2020 were included in this study. They were randomly assigned to undergo TMS (TMS group), BCT (BCT group), or TMS plus BCT (combined group) ( n = 40/group). Before and after treatment, sleep quality and mental state scores were evaluated in each group. Results:After treatment, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) score in the combined group [(5.68 ± 0.33) points] was significantly lower than that in the TMS group [(9.11 ± 0.83) points] and BCT group [(11.37 ± 1.06) points, F = 512.63, P < 0.001]. Sleep efficiency in the combined group [(56.73 ± 2.62)%] was significantly higher than that in the TMS group [(39.55 ± 3.02)%] and BCT group [(35.23 ± 1.41)%, F = 863.59, P < 0.001]. The Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) scores and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores were significantly lower in the combined group compared with the TMS and BCT groups ( F = 412.52, 310.60, both P < 0.001). Conclusion:BCT combined with TMS can effectively improve sleep quality and reduce negative emotions in patients with post-stroke sleep disorders.

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a kind of degenerative osteoarthrosis, which usually involves articular cartilage, subchondral bone, meniscus and quadriceps femoris, which is equivalent to the change of "tendon" in traditional Chinese medicine. The occurrence and development of the change of "tendon" can be explained by the theory of "bone-restoration and tendon-softening" in traditional Chinese medicine. If the force line of the lower limb of the knee joint is normal, it can be indicated by "bone-restoration" in traditional Chinese medicine, that is, the blood around the knee joint runs smoothly, and the "tenons" such as meniscus, ligaments, cartilage, etc. are softened by the blood. This condition of the knee joint can be manifested by the balance of the surrounding soft tissue state. If the force line of the lower limb of the knee joint changes, showing a medial offset and misalignment of the knee joint, it can be indicated by "bone is out of alignment" in traditional Chinese medicine, that is, the structure of the soft tissue around the knee joint and its mechanical characteristics have changed. This condition of the knee joint can be manifested by "the tendons lose their flexibility". In this paper, the theories of modern biomechanics and "bone-restoration and tendon-softening" in traditional Chinese medicine were comprehensively analyzed, the characteristics of the "tenons" when knee osteoarthritis occurs were analyzed, and the characteristics of the occurrence and development of knee osteoarthritis from the perspective of Chinese and Western medicine were discussed.

Objective? To evaluate the effects of different forms of self-management education on glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in diabetic patients. Methods? The related clinical randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were retrieved in China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIP, WanFang data and Chinese Biomedical Database (CBM) (key words:diabetes/ self-management/ health education/behavior/ psychology) and in Embase, PubMed, Cochrane (key words:of intervention/ knowledge/ behavior/psychological/ diabetes/ DSME) from building the database to June 2018 as well as in related journals by hand. Then, we evaluated the quality of literature and carried out data analysis with the RevMan5.0. Results? Finally, a total of 16 literatures (evaluating the effects of self-management education in diabetic patients with the outcome indexes of HbA1c) were included with 9 of them in the subgroup of behavior intervention, 4 in the subgroup of elementary knowledge cognitive intervention and 3 in the subgroup of mental intervention. Besides, 3 literatures with the level A and 13 with the level B. Meta-analysis showed that the HbA1c of the subgroup of behavior intervention was with WMD=-0.78, 95%CI (-1.14, -0.41)(P＜ 0.05), HbA1c of the subgroup of elementary knowledge cognitive intervention was with WMD=-0.55, 95%CI (-1.06, -0.04)(P＜ 0.05) and HbA1c of the subgroup of mental intervention was with WMD=-0.55, 95%CI (-1.24, 0.15)(P＞ 0.05). Conclusions? Behavior intervention and elementary knowledge cognitive intervention all have positive effects on HbA1c of diabetic patients. However, whether mental intervention has effects on patients＇ HbA1c has not gotten a final conclusion. We should implement comprehensive self-management education for diabetic patients from many aspects including behavior, cognition and psychology to achieve an ideal effect.
