Objective:To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of overweight and obesity among Chinese children aged 3-18 years from 11 provinces, antonomous regions, or municipalities.Methods:This national cross-sectional community health survey utilized a multistage stratified cluster-random sampling method to recruit 193 997 nationally representative participants from 11 provinces, autonomous regions, or municipalities between January 2017 and December 2019. All participants underwent physical examinations, and their caregivers completed questionnaires assessing participants′ dietary, lifestyle, familial, and perinatal information. Multilevel multinomial logistic regression models were employed to identify the potential risk factors.Results:The cohort comprised 193 997 children (102 178 boys, 91 819 girls),aged (10±4) years. Overall prevalence rates were 30 574(15.8%)overweight children and 17 217(8.9%) obesity children. Boys exhibited higher overweight and obesity rates than girls (17.0% (17 368/102 178) vs. 14.4% (13 206/102 178), 11.3% (11 553/91 819) vs. 6.2% (5 664/91 819), χ2=249.12,1 578.69,both P<0.001). The detection rates of obesity in Tanner stage 2 and 3 were the highest in boys and girls, with 13.4%(2 231/16 665) and 8.6%(880/10 221) respectively. Risk factors for obesity included parental overweight (paternal OR=2.34 and maternal OR=2.29), annual household income of 100 000-200 000 yuan (compared with<100 000 yuan, OR=1.04), higher paternal education (compared with below high school,high school and a college education OR=1.09,1.14), birth weight >4.0 kg (≤5 and>5 years old OR=1.74, 1.44,respectively), and western food consumption≥1 time/month (compared with<1, 1-2, 3-4,>4 times/month OR=1.36, 1.30, 1.67(≤5 years), 1.19, 1.16, 1.15 (>5 years), respectively) (all P<0.05). Conversely, coarse grain intake≥1 times/week (compared with<1 times/week, every day, 3-4, 1-2 times/week OR=0.74, 0.80, 0.71 (≤5 years), 0.75, 0.87, 0.90(>5 years), respectively, all P<0.05) was associated with reduced obesity risk. Conclusions:Obesity epidemiology in children demonstrates significant heterogeneity across age, gender, geographic regions, and pubertal stages. It is necessary to establish a personalized prevention and control strategy.

Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of oral testosterone therapy in individuals diagnosed with androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS).Methods:A self-controlled study design was utilized, focusing on individuals with AIS who were genetically diagnosed at the Department of Endocrinology, Genetics, and Metabolism of Beijing Children′s Hospital between 2009 and 2021. These patients underwent treatment involving the administration of testosterone. The primary observed indexes include the measurement of penis length, which should meet the minimal surgical standard (penis length≥2.5 cm) or greater than or equal to -2.5 s (lower limit of normal). Secondary observed indexes include penile length standard deviation score (PL-SDS), an increase in penis longitude (ΔPL), medication dosage, the course of therapy, and safety indicators, among others. There were 4 courses of treatment. After each course, patients were evaluated to determine whether termination of treatment was appropriate. Patients who exhibited inadequate post-treatment penile length growth were advised to continue with further treatment. The statistical methodology included t-test, and a Wilcoxon rank sum test to describe efficacy and safety. The patients were followed up until 2023. Results:The study comprised a total of 51 individuals with AIS, comprising 33 males and 18 females (gender of registered permanent residence). Among these patients, 10 were diagnosed with complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS) and 41 were diagnosed with partial androgen insensitive syndrome (PAIS). There were 2 children with CAIS were diagnosed by doctors and prescribed testosterone undecanoate, but the children did not really take medicine.The penile length of CAIS patients could not be measured (penile length<0.5 cm) before and after treatment. For PAIS patients, baseline penile length and PL-SDS were (2.3±0.6) cm and -3.7±1.3, respectively. The measurements for penile length and PL-SDS after each treatment course were recorded as follows: (2.7±0.8), (2.8±0.6), (2.6±0.4), (2.6±0.4) cm and -2.8±1.6, 2.5±1.6, 2.9±1.2, -3.2±0.9, respectively. Both penile length and PL-SDS interventions showed statistically significant gains when compared to the baseline performance of the 4 courses ( t=4.05、3.56、2.55、2.23 and 3.88、3.50、2.50、2.19, all P<0.05). Before treatment, 13 PAIS patients (32%) reached 2.5 cm and seven (17%) reached greater than or equal to -2.5 s. Following the initial, subsequent, third, and fourth therapeutic interventions, 18 cases (44%), 24 cases (59%), 25 cases (61%), and 26 cases (63%) reached 2.5 cm, respectively. Additionally, A total of 12 cases (29%), 15 cases (37%), 20 cases (49%), and 21 cases (51%), respectively, were found to reach greater than or equal to -2.5 s. The study involved the longitudinal monitoring of patients with the highest recorded age being 13.7 years. The weight, height, body mass index, bone age/age, cholesterol, hemoglobin and so on were all within the normal range and the difference were not statistically significant (all P>0.05). All 49 patients were no abnormalities in blood electrolyte, liver and kidney function and thyroid function and no changes in precocious puberty, pubic hair growth, aggressive behavior, vulvar skin darkening, diarrhea or other conditions. Conclusions:Testosterone undecanote in children with CAIS was no effective. The initial course of treatment for patients with PAIS demonstrates observable enhancements in penile length and PL-SDS. For patients with inadequate penile length growth, continued treatment in subsequent courses (such as the second, third, and fourth courses) is recommended toenhance outcomes gradually. Testosterone undecanoate was safe and effective for the majority of individuals with PAIS patients, with few adverse effects and good treatment tolerance.

OBJECTIVE：To analyze the chemotypes of volatile components from Perillae Folium of different germplasms ，and to investigate the relationship of germplasm and leaf color with chemotype. METHODS ：The fingerprints of volatile components from 30 batches of Perillae Folium were prepared by GC-MS with P 4 peak as reference. Similarity Evaluation System for TCM Chromatographic Fingerprint （2004A edition ）was applied to evaluate the similarity and confirm common peaks. The volatile components of Perillae Folium were determined by the same GC-MS method. Qualitative Navigator （B.08.00）software was used to analyze and compare with NIST 17.0 standard mass spectrum database. The compounds corresponding to the peak were analyzed ； clustering analysis was carried out with Origin 2018 software. RESULTS ：There were 13 common peaks in the fingerprints of volatile components from 30 batches of Perillae Folium . The similarities were 0.13-1.00. Totally 54 components were identified from 30 batches of Perillae Folium of different germplasm. Cluster analysis showed that 30 batches of Perillae Folium samples could be clustered into three categories ；among them ，SCY-1，YNT-9，YNX-17，YN-28 were clustered into one category ，with phenylpropanoid-elemicin（PP-e as ）the main volatile component ，being PP-e type ；GS-4，GS-7，GS-11，GS-19，HBA-14， HBA-20，GZZ-8，LN-39，GSL-27，GSQ-32，GSQ-33，GST-31，YNW-12，LN-38 were clustered into one category ，and the content of perilla ketone （PK）in them was the highest except for LN- 38， being PK type [the content of phenylpropanoid-apiol（PP-a）in LN- 38 was higher than that of perilla ketone ，being PP-a type] ；HBS-2，HBS-3，HBS-6， C201859）HBS-15，HBS-16，HBS-24，HBS-25，GX-26，SXS-30，SCC- 36，RB-37，SC-29 were clustered into one category ，and thecontent of perillaldehyde （PA）was the highest ，being PA type.The color characteristics of Perillae Folium of different germplasm showed that Perilla frutescens （L.） Britt. var.frutescens with green leaves on both sides was PK type ，while P. frutescens （L.）Britt. var. arguta with purple leaves on one or both sides was PA type ，and P. frutescens （L.） Britt var. auriculato-dentata C. Y. Wu et Hsuan ex H. W. Li was PP-e type. CONCLUSIONS：The chemotype of volatile components in Perillae Folium have a certain corresponding relationship with their leaf colors. Most of P. frutescens （L.）Britt. var. arguta with purple leaves on one side or both sides are PA type. P. frutescens （L.） Britt. var. acuta （Thunb.）Kudo，P. frutescens （L.）Britt var. auriculato-dentata C. Y. Wu et Hsuan ex H. W. Li and P. frutescens （L.）Britt. var. frutescens with green leaves on both sides do not belong to PA type ，among which P. frutescens （L.）Britt var. frutescens is PK type ，while P. frutescens （L.）Britt var. auriculato-dentata C. Y. Wu et Hsuan ex H. W. Li is mostly PP-e type.

Industrial enzymes have become the core "chip" for bio-manufacturing technology. Design and development of novel and efficient enzymes is the key to the development of industrial biotechnology. The scientific basis for the innovative design of industrial catalysts is an in-depth analysis of the structure-activity relationship between enzymes and substrates, as well as their regulatory mechanisms. With the development of bioinformatics and computational technology, the catalytic mechanism of the enzyme can be solved by various calculation methods. Subsequently, the specific regions of the structure can be rationally reconstructed to improve the catalytic performance, which will further promote the industrial application of the target enzyme. Computational simulation and rational design based on the analysis of the structure-activity relationship have become the crucial technology for the preparation of high-efficiency industrial enzymes. This review provides a brief introduction and discussion on various calculation methods and design strategies as well as future trends.

At present, Pediatrics textbook for international students is still in the exploring stage in China. It is necessary to make an attempt to write pediatric English textbooks by ourselves for the purpose of minimizing the gap between English original textbook and Chinese spectrum of disease, and being in accordance with teaching programs. Pediatrics English textbook should be written with excellent original English textbooks as important implications for professional resources, and adopting readable writing styles as well as multifaceted language support. Quality assurance of the textbook relies on the evaluations, and then the concrete improvement measures focusing on the significant parts of the difficulties such as author's selection, compiling style and language of textbook.

Objective The unbalanced phenotype of pe-ripheral blood monocyte is closely related to the pathological progres-sion of pulmonary fibrosis .The present study was designed to address the dynamic changes of circulating monocyte subsets in the experimen-tal mouse model of pulmonary fibrosis , and explore the relationship of circulating monocyte subsets with pulmonary inflammation and fibro-sis. Methods A total of 100male C 57BL/6J mice were random-ized as control group and a bleomycin A 5 group to be treated with sterile saline and bleomycin A5 at 2 mg/kg, respectively.The mice were sacrificed on day 1, 3, 7, 14, and 21 after treatment.The inflammation score and collagen volume fraction ( CVF) of the lung tissue were obtained by HE and Masson staining .The total number and different types of cells in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid ( BALF) were counted using the routine method .The mRNA expressions of collagens ⅠandⅢwere determined by real-time PCR, the content of hydroxyproline (HYP) assayed by the chloramine-T method, and the proportions of different monocyte subsets measured by flow cytometry . Results Compared with the saline control , the bleo-mycin A5 group showed significantly increases in the inflammation score at 3 and 7 days ( P<0 .01 ) , CVF at 14 and 21 days ( P<0.01), and the numbers of total cells and macrophages in BALF at 3-21 days, the count of neutrophils granulocytes at 1-3 days (P<0.01), The numbers of neutrophile granulocyles were significant higer than that in control groups on the 1st(9.086 ±1.268 vs 1.108 ±0.229), 3rd(5.551 ±0.511 vs 0.315 ±0.100) and 7th(8.093 ±0.922 vs 0.249 ±0.074)day.The mRNA expressions of collagens ⅠandⅢat 14 and 21 days (P<0.05), the content of HYP at 7-21 days (P<0.01), and the proportion of Ly6Chi mon-ocytes on day 1, which peaked on day 3 (P<0.01) and then decreased from day 14 to 21.The proportion of Ly6Chi monocytes was positively correlated with the inflammation score (P<0.000 1) and CVF of the lung tissue (P=0.001 3). Conclusion In the mouse model of bleomycin A5-induced pulmonary fibrosis, dynamic changes of circulating Ly6Chi and Ly6Clo monocyte subsets occurred in different pathophysiological stages .Compared with the pathological process of inflammatory infiltration , Ly6Chi circulating monocytes displayed a rapid response to tissue injury and inflammation .The increased proportion of Ly6Chi monocyte subsets might be closely re-lated with pulmonary inflammation and fibrosis .
