Alzheimer's disease(AD)is a preva-lent neurodegenerative disorder,characterized by the accumulation of beta-amyloid plaques,the phosphorylation of Tau proteins,and neuronal loss.As the global population ages,the incidence of AD is rising,and there is currently no effective cure.Herbal monomers have garnered interest due to their multifaceted pharmacological effects and low toxicity.This paper aims to provide a comprehen-sive overview of the mechanisms of Nrf2,NF-κB,PI3K/Akt,MAPK and other signalling pathways in the pathogenesis of AD.It also explores the modu-lation of these pathways by various TCM mono-mers,such as leptomeningine and tanshinone ⅡA,and details the research progress to date.For in-stance,Leptosine has been shown to activate Nrf2,thereby reducing oxidative stress,while Tanshinone ⅡA has been observed to inhibit the NF-κB path-way,leading to a reduction in inflammation.Not-withstanding the encouraging indications for the treatment of AD with TCM monomers,there are several challenges that must be addressed.Firstly,the precise mechanism of action remains to be ful-ly elucidated.Secondly,there are significant chal-lenges related to pharmacokinetics and bioavailabil-ity.Thirdly,the sample size of clinical studies is lim-ited and of variable quality.Fourthly,the quality control process is complex.Finally,interactions with other drugs must be taken into account.

Objective To better understand the mechanisms of cone opsin transport , we set to generate a trans-genic zebrafish line with red fluorescence proteins expressing in the cone photoreceptors .Methods We used sws1 promot-er to drive the expression of a chimerical protein , in which the last 44 amino acids of rhodopsin of Xenopus laevis were fused to the C-terminus of tdTomato to restrict its localization to the outer segment of photoreceptors .Results We successfully i-solated such a transgenic zebrafish line and confirmed the localization of tdTomato by immunostaining analysis .Conclu-sions This transgenic zebrafish line will help us to better understand the transport mechanisms of cone opsins , especially the transport in live photoreceptors .

Kinesin-2 family proteins, including KIF3A, KIF3B, KIF3C and KIF17, are members of the kinesin superfamily motor proteins , which transport various proteins and vesicles in the cell and play diverse biological functions . Recently, studies on members of kinesin-2 family proteins suggest that they play fundamental roles during ciliary transport , whose defects can lead to abnormal cilia development , the major cause of human ciliopathies .In this review , we will sum-marize the functions of this motor protein family during ciliogenesis and focus mainly on their roles in the development of model organisms .

This study was aimed to investigate the mechanism of Jian-Pi Sheng-Xue (JPSX) granules on iron-deficiency anemia (IDA) rats.Low iron diet was given to establish IDA rat model.Rats were randomly divided into the model control group,normal control group,JPSX granules group,JPSX extract group and the ferrous sulfate group.The hematological indexes and serum ferritin were measured 10 days and 20 day after medication.The results showed that with iron supplements,the levels of hemoglobin (HGB),red blood cell (RBC),hematocrit (HCT) and serum ferritin of the JPSX granules group,JPSX extract group and the ferrous sulfate group were higher than those of the control group.The level of serum ferritin of the JPSX granules group was obviously higher than that of the JPSX extract group and the ferrous sulfate group (P < 0.01).It was concluded that compared with the control group,JPSX granules,JPSX extract and ferrous sulfate can improve symptoms of IDA in rats.And JPSX granules had the best effect.

Objective To observe the clinical effect of eye drops of 0.1%olopatadine hydrochloride(patanol) and 0.05%FKS06 (tacrolimus) for treating severe vernal keratoconjunctivitis in children.Design Prospective case siries.Participants 62 cases(104 eyes) of severe vernal keratoconjunctivitis aged 3-14 years old.Methods We observed the symptoms and signs of severe vernal keratoconjunctivitis before and after the treatment of 0.1%olopatadine hydrochloride and 0.05%FKS06.We examined regularly the blood,liver and kidney functions for all patients during treatment.Main Outcome Measures Symptoms and signs.Results Following by 3- 34months,all patients were much better in different degree at 1 week than that before.The papillae were decreased and almost disappeared gradually at 1 month.The corneal lesions were cured rapidly in less than 2 weeks.2 cases(3.2%) complained a little disconfort just at the beginning.38 cases(61.3%) recurred from 2 weeks to 8 months after stopping the eye drops,and were controlled rapidly after reusing the eye drops.The blood routine and the biochemical functions of all patients were normal during treatment.Conclusions 0.1% olopatadine hydrochloride and 0.05%FKS06 have remarkable effects for alleviating symptoms and signs of severe vernal keratoconjunctivitis. The patients are comfortable and content with the treatment,and side effects are very few.
