ObjectiveTo explore the effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） chronic disease management programme in preventing postoperative recurrence of colorectal polyps. MethodsThe clinical data of 447 postoperative colorectal polyp patients were retrospectively collected， and the patients were divided into an exposure group and a control group taking the acceptance of TCM chronic disease management programme as exposure factor， and the polyp recurrence rate as the main outcome indicator， comparing the differences in baseline characteristics， outcome events， and safety assessment between the two groups， and conducting correlation analysis between the length of medication and polyp recurrence. Multifactorial logistic regression was used to analyse the effects of receiving the TCM chronic disease management programme （TCM treatment and life management for spleen deficiency and dampness stasis syndrome， dampness and stasis obstruction in collaterals syndrome， and intestinal dampness and heat syndrome）， gender， age， co-morbidities， TCM syndrome， and dietary and exercise factors on the outcome events. ResultsAmong 257 postoperative patients with colorectal polyps， there were 172 in the exposure group and 85 in control group. The recurrence rate of polyps in exposure group was 22.7% （39/172）， while the recurrence rate in control group was 57.6% （49/85）， and the difference between groups was statistically significant （P＜0.01）. The diameter of recurrent polyps in exposure group （median= 4.0 mm） was smaller than that in control group （median= 5.0 mm， P＜0.01）. The correlation analysis between the duration of medication taking and the recurrence of polyps in the spleen deficiency and dampness stasis syndrome group showed Phi value as -0.345 （P＜0.001）； the correlation analysis within the group of dampness and stasis obstruction in collaterals syndrome showed Phi value as -0.361 （P＜0.05）， indicating a negative correlation between the duration of medication taking and polyp recurrence. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that the positive effect of accepting TCM chronic disease management programme on preventing polyp recurrence is statistically significant （OR=0.224， P＜0.01）. ConclusionAccepting TCM chronic disease management programme for colorectal polyps can help reducing the recurrence rate after polyp surgery， which is a protective factor for patients to the outcome event.

The core pathogenesis of disease caused by latent toxin is deficiency of healthy qi and lingering pathogen, which is characterized by lingering and recurrent courses, and onset upon exogenous induction. The biological mechanisms of disease caused by latent toxin present multi-dimensional and synergistic characteristics. Immune dysfunction and inflammatory response serve as the core links, involving the abnormal activation of signaling pathways such as Wnt/β-catenin, PI3K/Akt/mTOR, TLR, and NF-κB; the accumulation of metabolites, as the microscopic carrier of latent toxin, participates in chronic complications of diabetes by damaging vascular endothelium and inhibiting repair pathways; immune escape and tolerance, as well as weakened tumor suppressor function, supplement the potential mechanisms of latent toxin from the perspectives of pathogen/tumor cell latency and congenital insufficiency; the imbalance of tissue repair and remodeling, and the imbalance of protein metabolism and cellular homeostasis further improve the mechanism network of latent toxin. Among these, immune dysfunction, tumor suppressor gene mutation, and regulatory dysfunction may be the microscopic manifestations of "healthy qi deficiency"; inflammatory factors, metabolites, viruses, and tumor cells may be the microscopic manifestations of "latent toxin". Current studies have limitations, such as unclear specific biomarkers for different types of latent toxin, insufficient research on the interaction of multiple mechanisms, and lack of clinical verification. It is suggested that future research should be further carried out around "latent toxin classification-mechanism-efficacy".

Objective To explore the research status and hotspots of umbilical acupuncture over the past 20 years using bibliometric methods,thus to providing references for the subsequent clinical treatment of umbilical acupuncture and studies of the therapeutic mechanism.Methods Literature on umbilical acupuncture published between 2004 and 2024 was retrieved from the CNKI,Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform,and VIP Chinese Journal Service Platform.Duplicate check was conducted using NoteExpress 3.9.0 software,and then manual screening was performed.The included literature data were imported into VOSviewer for visualized analysis,including institutional collaboration,author collaboration,and keyword co-occurrence.Results A total of 388 articles were included,comprising 286 original research articles,23 reviews,and 79 dissertations.Annual publication analysis revealed a significant upward trend in umbilical acupuncture research output starting from 2017.Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and Hangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine ranked first in publication volume,and Bao Yehua was the most prolific author.Inter-institutional collaboration remained limited,and author collaborations usually occurred in small-team models.Clinical research was the most commonly-seen keyword,and insomnia and stroke were the diseases being frequently studied.Conclusion Clinical research has become the focus of umbilical acupuncture studies over the past two decades,while mechanism research is still in its early stages.Current research hotspots include the research about insomnia and stroke.

Objective To investigate the expression of WD repeat-containing protein 5(WDR5)in cervical cancer tissue and its relationship with clinical pathological characteristics and prognosis of patients.Methods 105 CA patients admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to March 2020 were included as the study subjects,the cancer tissue and adjacent tissue samples of patients were collected,Immunohistochemical staining and Western blot were used to detect the level of WDR5 in CA tissue and adjacent cancer tissues.Immunohistochemistry and Western blot were used to determine the level;Survival analysis was conducted using the Kaplan Meier method;The influencing factors of patient prognosis were analyzed through Cox regression.Results Among 105 CA tissue samples,the positive expression rate of WDR5(WDR5 positive cases/total cancer tissue cases)was 68.57% (72/105),which was higher than 22.86% (24/105)in adjacent cancer tissues(P<0.05);Compared to adjacent tissues(1.00±0.11),the expression level of WDR5 was higher in CA tissues(4.66±0.98)(t = 38.030,P<0.05).The expression level of WDR5 is related to the degree of differentiation,TNM staging,and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05);The survival rate of WDR5 positive expression was 65.28% (47/72)lower than that of negative expression of 90.91% (30/33)(Log rank χ2 = 6.732,P = 0.009);TNM staging,WDR5,degree of dif-ferentiation,and lymph node metastasis are all influencing factors for patient prognosis(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression of WDR5 is elevated in cervical cancer tissues,and its changes are closely related to TNM staging,differentiation,lymph node metastasis,and prognosis in cervical cancer patients.

ObjectiveThis paper aims to analyze the current status of outcome indicators in randomized controlled trials （RCT） of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） for treating chronic atrophic gastritis （CAG）， so as to provide references for constructing the core outcome set （COS） of TCM in the treatment of CAG. MethodChina National Knowledge Infrastructure （CNKI）， Wanfang， VIP， SinoMed， PubMed， Embase， and Cochrane Library databases were searched for RCTs of TCM in the treatment of CAG in the last five years. The risk of bias of included studies was evaluated， and the selection status of outcome indicators was statistically analyzed. ResultA total of 150 RCTs were included， with a sample size of 44-398 cases. 164 outcome indicators were reported， with an application frequency of 1 229 times. The outcome indicators were classified into seven indicator domains according to functional attributes， followed by physical and chemical examination （69.41%）， TCM syndrome （12.69%）， symptoms and signs （11.15%）， safety indicators （5.37%）， quality of life （0.65%）， long-term prognosis （0.65%）， and economic evaluation （0.08%）. According to the statistical analysis， there were problems in the selection of outcome indicators in RCTs of TCM for treating CAG， including various indicators， non-standard name reports， unclear primary and secondary indicators， random combination of subjective and objective indicators， neglected patient report outcome indicators， missing long-term prognosis and economic indicators， insufficient reporting of safety indicators， and inconsistent measurement tools and measurement time points. ConclusionIn the past five years， there have been many problems in the selection of outcome indicators in RCTs of TCM for treating CAG. It is necessary to actively promote the construction of the COS of TCM in the treatment of CAG and promote the high-quality development of clinical research of TCM.

The Satir model, grounded in humanism and oriented towards growth, is a psychological therapy model aimed at enhancing self-esteem, improving communication, and facilitating personal integration of mind and body, achieving internal and external harmony. In recent years, the Satir model has garnered increasing attention from nursing educators and scholars. This study provides a comprehensive review of the theoretical foundations, therapeutic techniques, and applications of the Satir model in the field of nursing in China. The aim is to offer new perspectives and theoretical references for the nursing practice of the Satir model and to enrich psychological nursing methods.

Objective To establish ecological suitability zone of Forsythia suspensa(Thunb.)Vahl in Shanxi Province;To study the quality regionalization of Forsythia suspensa(Thunb.)Vahl from different producing areas in Shanxi Province;To provide reference for reasonable planting and wild tending of Forsythia suspensa(Thunb.)Vahl.Methods Maximum entropy(MaxEnt)model and ArcGIS software were used to study the ecological suitability of Forsythia suspensa(Thunb.)Vahl in Shanxi Province;By screening the main environmental factors and combining them with the content of forsythoside and forsythoside A in Forsythia suspensa(Thunb.)Vahl of different regions,a quality zoning of Forsythia suspensa Thunb.Vahl medicinal materials in Shanxi Province based on forsythoside,forsythoside A and environmental factors was constructed.Results The ecological suitable areas of Forsythia suspensa Thunb.Vahl in Shanxi Province were mainly distributed in the southern part of Shanxi Province,mainly in Linfen,Yuncheng,Changzhi,and Jincheng.The general contents of forsythoside and forsythoside A in the Forsythia suspensa(Thunb.)Vahl medicinal material were gradually reduced from southern part to northern part of Shanxi Province.The comprehensive quality was high in southern part of Shanxi Province,mainly in Linfen,Changzhi,Yuncheng and Jincheng.Conclusion The results of this study are consistent with the actual survey.The southern part of Shanxi province is a suitable planting area for high quality Forsythia suspensa(Thunb.)Vahl,which provides a reference for the standardized planting and wild tending of Forsythia suspensa(Thunb.)Vahl.

BACKGROUND: Given the general unavailability, common adverse effects, and complicated administration of tetracycline, the clinical application of classic bismuth quadruple therapy (BQT) is greatly limited. Whether minocycline can replace tetracycline for Helicobacter pylori ( H . pylori ) eradication is unknown. We aimed to compare the eradication rate, safety, and compliance between minocycline- and tetracycline-containing BQT as first-line regimens. METHODS: This randomized controlled trial was conducted on 434 naïve patients with H . pylori infection. The participants were randomly assigned to 14-day minocycline-containing BQT group (bismuth potassium citrate 110 mg q.i.d., esomeprazole 20 mg b.i.d., metronidazole 400 mg q.i.d., and minocycline 100 mg b.i.d.) and tetracycline-containing BQT group (bismuth potassium citrate/esomeprazole/metronidazole with doses same as above and tetracycline 500 mg q.i.d.). Safety and compliance were assessed within 3 days after eradication. Urea breath test was performed at 4-8 weeks after eradication to evaluate outcome. We used a noninferiority test to compare the eradication rates of the two groups. The intergroup differences were evaluated using Pearson chi-squared or Fisher's exact test for categorical variables and Student's t -test for continuous variables. RESULTS: As for the eradication rates of minocycline- and tetracycline-containing BQT, the results of both intention-to-treat (ITT) and per-protocol (PP) analyses showed that the difference rate of lower limit of 95% confidence interval (CI) was >-10.0% (ITT analysis: 181/217 [83.4%] vs . 180/217 [82.9%], with a rate difference of 0.5% [-6.9% to 7.9%]; PP analysis: 177/193 [91.7%] vs . 176/191 [92.1%], with a rate difference of -0.4% [-5.6% to 6.4%]). Except for dizziness more common (35/215 [16.3%] vs . 13/214 [6.1%], P = 0.001) in minocycline-containing therapy groups, the incidences of adverse events (75/215 [34.9%] vs . 88/214 [41.1%]) and compliance (195/215 [90.7%] vs . 192/214 [89.7%]) were similar between the two groups. CONCLUSION: The eradication efficacy of minocycline-containing BQT was noninferior to tetracycline-containing BQT as first-line regimen for H . pylori eradication with similar safety and compliance.
