OBJECTIVE To establish a quality control method for Jinbei oral liquid based on multi-wavelength switching high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) fingerprint, chemical pattern recognition and multi-index content determination. METHODS A total of 15 batches of Jinbei oral liquid were used as test samples. The Similarity Evaluation System for Chromatographic Fingerprint of Traditional Chinese Medicine ( Version 2012 ) was adopted to establish multi-wavelength switching HPLC fingerprints, followed by chromatographic peak identification and similarity evaluation. Cluster analysis, principal component analysis and orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis were applied to conduct chemical pattern recognition on the 15 batches of samples. The multi-wavelength switching HPLC method was used to simultaneously determine the contents of neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic acid, forsythoside A, baicalin, salvianoli c acid B and wogonoside in samples. RESULTS A total of 25 common peaks were calibrated in the fingerprints of 15 batches of Jinbei oral liquid, among which 7 common peaks were unambiguously identified. The similarity of all samples was higher than 0.960. Chemical pattern recognition results showed that samples S1-S8 were clustered into group 1, and samples S9-S15 were clustered into group 2. Baicalin, wogonoside, neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid and salvianolic acid B were identified as the differential quality markers. The average contents of neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic acid, forsythoside A, baicalin, salvianolic acid B and wogonoside in 15 batches of Jinbei oral liquid were 0.213 7, 0.085 3, 0.104 9, 0.287 3, 0.420 1, 0.062 1, 0.176 0 mg/mL, respectively. CONCLUSIONS The established quality control method for Jinbei oral liquid combining multi-wavelength switching HPLC fingerprint, chemical pattern recognition and multi-index content determination is stable and reliable, which can provide a reference for the formulation of quality standards of this preparation.

Objective To investigate changes in the distribution of Oncomelania hupensis snails in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, from 2008 to 2024, and to provide insights to guide formulation of O. hupensis snail investigation and surveillance programs. Methods Data from O. hupensis snail surveys in Yixing City from 2008 to 2024 were collected. Trends in snail habitat site numbers, snail-infested areas, proportion of total area with snail habitats, occurrence of frames with living snails, and density of living snails in snail habitats in hilly regions of Yixing City were evaluated from 2008 to 2024 by applying a Joinpoint regression model to collect annual percent change (APC) and average annual percent change (AAPC) data. Results From 2008 to 2024, a total of 193.815 hm2 of snail-infested area was found within Yixing City, of which 191.765 hm2 (accounting for 98.94%) was distributed in hilly regions. A total of 344 snail infestation sites in hilly regions were identified. The average occurrence rate of living snail frames in snail habitats was 8.650% and the average living snail density in snail habitats was 0.246 per 0.1 m2. No Oncomelania snails were positively identified. The number of snail habitat sites in hilly regions of Yixing City showed no significant decreasing trend (AAPC=-2.8%, P=0.527). Similarly, no significant increasing trend in snail-infested area (APC=AAPC=5.7%, P=0.328) was found. The occurrence rate of living snail frames in snail habitats showed no significant increasing trend (APC=AAPC=5.1%, P=0.583). Living snail density in snail habitats also showed no significant increasing trend (APC=AAPC=3.2%, P=0.598). Conclusions From 2008 to 2024, snail infestation has persisted in the hilly areas of Yixing City with an unclear variation trend. The quality of snail investigation and snail surveillance system should be strengthened to permit timely identification of hidden dangers and rapid risk responses, thereby preventing schistosomiasis outbreaks.

Spine fracture and dislocation are common traumatic spinal conditions that often require surgical intervention due to compromised spinal stability. Surgical approaches include anterior, posterior, and combined anterior-posterior spinal procedures. According to the specific surgical requirements, patients may be placed in the prone position or repositioned between prone and supine positions during surgery. Intraoperative repositioning has become an essential step in patient positioning. However, during repositioning, patients with spinal fracture and dislocation are at increased risk for complications such as hemodynamic instability, nerve injury, and pressure injuries to the skin and soft tissue. Notably, due to the instability of the spinal cord, even minor manipulations can further exacerbate the damage, potentially leading to severe outcomes like paraplegia. Although the current clinical guidelines provide instructive recommendations for standard position, there remains no specific protocols for intraoperative repositioning in patients with spine fracture and dislocation. With a concern for the lack of clinical studies on positioning techniques, risk prevention, and operational norms for special patients, no applicable guidelines or standards are available. A consensus was required to provide clinical reference, meet the requirements of surgical treatment, and minimize the safety risks of patients caused by improper placement of positions. Professional Committee of Operating Room Nursing of Shaanxi Nursing Association organized experts in nursing management and operating room nursing from major hospitals across China to formulate Expert consensus on intraoperative repositioning for patients with spinal fracture and dislocation ( version 2025). The consensus provides 11 recommendations covering pre-repositioning preparation, intraoperative maneuvers, and post-repositioning observation, aiming to provide references for clinical standardization of the intraoperative repositioning process and protection of patients′ safety.

Body weight abnormalities, including overweight, obesity, and underweight, have become a dual public health challenge in Chinese adults: overweight and obesity lead to a variety of chronic complications, while underweight increases the risks of malnutrition, sarcopenia, and organ dysfunction. To systematically address these issues, multidisciplinary experts in endocrinology, sports science, nutrition, and psychiatry from various regions have held multiple weight management seminars. Based on the latest epidemiological data and clinical evidence, they expanded the guideline to include assessment and intervention strategies for underweight, in addition to the core content of obesity management. This guideline outlines the etiological mechanisms, evaluation methods, and multidimensional management strategies for overweight and obesity, covering key areas such as diagnosis and assessment, medical nutrition therapy, exercise prescription, pharmacological intervention, and psychological support. It is intended to provide a scientific and standardized approach to weight management across the adult population, aiming to curb the rising prevalence of obesity, mitigate complications associated with abnormal body weight, and improve nutritional status and overall quality of life.

Objective To find out whether photobiomodulation(PBM)can mitigate cognitive dysfunction caused by chronic stress by affecting levels of adenosine triphosphate(ATP)and adenosine receptors. Methods Twenty-four C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into a control group,a stress group, and a treatment group.Chronic unpredictable mild stress was used to establish a mouse model of stress.Six weeks into modeling, the treatment group was subjected to one week of PBM interventions.Behavioral tests were conducted to observe behavioral changes in the mice.Western blotting(WB)was used to detect the expressions of A1,A2B,and A3 adenosine receptors in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex of mice in the three groups.Twelve C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into a control group and an intervention group. The intervention group received a week of PBM interventions and underwent behavioral testing.WB was used to detect the expression changes of A1,A2B,and A3 adenosine receptors in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex in both groups.Immunofluorescence assay was adopted to detect the expression of c-Fos in the hippocampus of mice in the two groups. The ATP assay kit made by Beyotime Biotechnology Co.,Ltd.was used to measure changes in ATP contents in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex tissues of mice.Cell experiments were conducted to verify the effect of PBM on intracellular ATP contents. Results Mice in the stress group covered a similar distance to the control group, but finished far fewer platform crossings. There was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group in the number of times of platform crossings, but compared favorably with the stress group where the levels of adenosine receptors in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex were lower, but were increased by PBM.After PBM interventions in normal mice, platform crossings were increased significantly compared to the control group.PBM also raised adenosine receptor levels and ATP contents in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex, and increased hippocampal c-Fos expressions. In vitro,PBM elevated intracellular ATP levels. Conclusion PBM may improve chronic stress-induced cognitive dysfunction by regulating ATP levels and adenosine receptor expressions, thereby modulating neuronal responsiveness in the hippocampus.
