Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of centrifugal and membrane double plasma molecular adsorption systems (DPMAS) combined with low-dose plasma exchange in the treatment of liver failure. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 60 patients with liver failure treated in our hospital from April 2024 to June 2025. Based on different plasma separation methods, they were divided into the centrifugal DPMAS group (n=30) and the conventional membrane DPMAS group (n=30). The operational parameters, laboratory indicators, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: Under the same plasma volume for adsorption and exchange (P>0.05), the centrifugal group showed lower total circulating blood volume, total blood flow rate, and treatment duration compared to the membrane group [10 794 (9 532, 12 637) vs 19 000 (19 000, 21 000) mL, 60 (60, 65) vs 125 (120, 130) mL/min, 169 (141, 193) vs 207 (183, 210) min, P<0.001]. The centrifugal group also had a lower rate of central venous catheter use [(24/30, 80.00%) vs (30/30, 100.00%), P=0.024] and required more calcium supplementation due to sodium citrate anticoagulation [6 (6, 8) vs 2 (2, 2) g, P<0.001]. No significant changes were observed in WBC, Hb, HCT, and PLT levels before and after treatment with the centrifugal group (P>0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in WBC levels before and after membrane group treatment (P=0.199), but the values of Hb, HCT, and PLT showed significant decreases post-treatment compared to pre-treatment [106.50 (102.75, 126.75) vs 123.00 (109.75, 132.00) g/L, 33.20 (29.90, 34.92) vs 34.85 (31.55, 37.52)%, 85.00 (43.25, 139.50) vs 93.00 (61.50, 145.00)×10
/L, P<0.05]. There was no significant difference in coagulation function indexes before and after treatment with centrifugal group (P>0.05). The membrane group showed reduction in fibrinogen (Fib) levels post-treatment [1.50 (1.20, 1.60) vs 1.60 (1.25, 1.80) g/L, P=0.033]. Both groups demonstrated significant decreases in total bilirubin (TBil) and direct bilirubin (DBil) levels after treatment (centrifugal group: 194.70 (107.50, 276.00) vs 239.15 (173.00, 304.17) μmol/L, 101.00 (64.00, 182.30) vs 157.00 (101.00, 195.00) μmol/L; membrane group: 211.50 (118.00, 240.00) vs 263.50 (204.75, 314.00) μmol/L, 188.00 (122.75, 232.25) vs 219.00 (178.50, 267.25) μmol/L, P<0.05]. The incidence of catheter-related complications was lower in the centrifugal group [(2/30, 6.67%) vs (8/30, 26.67%), P=0.038]. Conclusion: The centrifugal DPMAS system demonstrates advantages such as lower blood flow velocity requirements, shorter treatment duration, minimal impact on platelets, and reduced adverse event rates, indicating promising clinical applications.

Objective Toexplore expression and clinical significance of WWOX protein and the Bcl-2 protein in the organiza-tion of bronchial lung cancer (primary lung cancer). Methods Chose 76 lung cancer patients with clear pathological diagno-sis who were hospitalized in the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital from 2010 and 2015(including 29 cases of adenocarci-noma,27 cases of squamous cell carcinoma, and 20 cases of small cell carcinoma)and 7 cases of normal lung tissue,8 cases of lung tuberculosis. The expressions of WWOX protein,Bcl-2 protein and more that 5 cm normal lung tissue adjacent to carci-noma were measured by immunohistochemistry SP method. The expression difference between patients and normal control group and the influence of sex, age, pathological type, differentiation degree, clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, smoking index on the expression of WWOX protein and Bcl-2 protein in lung cancer were analyzed. Results ①The positive expres-sion rate of WWOX protein in lung cancer group (35.52%)was significantly lower than that in normal lung tissue (73.33%,P<0.05).The positive expression rate of Bcl-2 protein in lung cancer group (78.06%)was significantly higher than that in control group (23.75%,P<0.05 ).②The positive expression rate of WWOX protein in male patients (21.43%)was significantly lower than that in female patients (52.94%),and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=8.146,P=0.04).The positive expression rate of Bcl-2 protein in male patients (71.43%)was significantly higher than that in female patients (35.29%),the difference was statistically significant (χ2=9.923,P=0.002).③In lung cancer with lymph node metastasis, the positive rate of WWOX protein (17.07%)was significantly lower than that in non-lymph node metastasis (48.57%),and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=8.67,P=0.003).In lung cancer with lymph node metastasis, the positive rate of Bcl-2 protein expression (68.29%)was significantly higher than that in non-lymph node me-tastasis (34.28%),and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=8.758,P=0.003).④The positive rate of expression of WWOX protein in patients whose smoking index≥400 and in patients that<400 was 15.63% and 47.73%,respectively, the differences were significant (χ2=8.48,P=0.003).The positive rate of expression of Bcl-2 protein in patients whose smoking index≥400 and in patients that<400 was 56.25% and 22.73%,respectively,the differences were significant (χ2=8.947,P=0.003).⑤WWOX and Bcl-2 protein expressions had no obvious relationship with ages, pathological type, degree of differentiation and clinical stage.⑥WWOX protein expression had negative correlation with Bcl-2 protein expression in lung cancr tissues. Conclusion WWOX protein expression in lung cancer was lower than that in adjacent normal lung tis-sue,Bcl-2 protein expression in lung cancer tissues was higher than that in adjacent normal lung tissue.WWOX protein ex-pression had negative correlation with Bcl-2 protein expression in lung cancer tissues.

Objective To analyze the relationship of serum levels of TSH,thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb) and thyroglobulin antibody(TGAb) with cytopathologic changes of thyroid fine needle aspiration(FNAB) in autoimmune thyroiditis(AIT).Methods Totally 82 cases of cytologically confirmed AIT including 75 females and 7 males were collected.Levels of TSH,TPOAb and TGAb were tested. After execution of FNAB,features of the cytopathology were observed. Results ① The percentage of positive TPOAb and TGAb were 91.4% and 74.4%,respectively in all the AIT patients.47.6% of the patients had TSH levels within normal range(0.3~5 mu/L).② All of the slides had different grades of lymphocytic infiltration.49.3% had germinal center,32.8% had Askanazy cells,26.9% had plasma cells,22.4% had colloid, and 9% had multinuclear giant cells.③ Lymphocytic infiltration was divided into four degrees. The levels of TSH and TPOAb increased significantly in the extremely heavy lymphocytic infiltration grade than in the others(P
