Description
Preeclampsia (PE) is a kind of common diseasse during gestation period appeared in 20 years after gestation which is characterised by high blood pressure, proteinuria and edema. PE poses a serious threat to maternal life security and growth of embryo and brings adverse pregnancy outcome, such as fetal growth restriction, stillbirth and stillborn foetus. The carrier material poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid, PLGA) encapsulated nifedipine was self-assembled to construct a new nanomedicine (PN NP), and the placenta-targeting peptide (plCSA-BP) was linked to the surface of the nanomedicine (named pl-PN NP) by chemical bonding. The cover is a schematic diagram, which shows How the new nanomedicine protects fetus and placenta when it treat the PE. Also, the cover illustrates the disease state of placenta, targeting place of the treatment of the nanomedicine and effect of protecting fetus. The cover shows the valitity of the new nanomedicine for PE and provide some new thinking way of drug treatment to PE.
