Pharmacological Study on the Nephroprotective Effects of Ribes Diacanthum Pall

Akhtolkhyn.T ; Chengzhi.Ch ; Boyang.Y

Mongolian Pharmacy and Pharmacology.2016;9(2):5-7.

Introduction: Ribes diacanthum Pall. (Saxifragaceae), a Mongolian folk medicinal plant, aqueous extract of its aerial parts (leaves, stems, fruits) has been used to treat urinary system diseases. It has been reported that the aqueous extract of RDP can control kidney stones and stimulate the diuretic effect. Some chemical studies showed that ethyl acetate extract of RDP exhibits significant ability of scavenging free radicals. However, to date, the nephroprotective effects of RDP on animal models have not been investigated. Purpose: The present work aimed to investigate the protective effects of different doses of Ribes diacanthum Pall (RDP) against cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity in mice. Materials and methods: The renal injury was modeled by intraperitoneal injection of cisplatin for 5 consecutive days (5 mg/kg). Nephroprotection of RDP was investigated by oral administration of different doses of RDP aqueous extract at a daily dose of 10 mg/kg, 20 mg/kg and 40 mg/kg for 14 consecutive days, starting 7 days prior to cisplatin administration. Results: We demonstrated that pretreatment with different doses of RDP aqueous extract significantly reduced blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine (Cr) levels and histophatological changes observed in cisplatin-administrated mice. Conclusion: These data suggested that RDP might be a potential candidate for neoadjuvant chemotherapy of cisplatin. The dose of RDP 40 mg/kg was the most effective.

Introduction: A UV-spectrophotometric method has been developed for the quantitative estimation of fluconazole. The present study describes development and validation of UV-spectroscopic method for estimation of fluconazole reference substance and validation of detection method. Method: During development of analytical method HCl: water (6 different concentrations). The detection length (cmax) was found to be 260nm. Calibration curves were prepared. The proposed method obeys Beer’s law in the range of 5-50mkg/ml. Absorption maxima was determined with 10 mkg/ml by scanning in the range of 200-400nm. Results: Percent recovery studies are in the range of 95,12%-101.89%. The method was validated in terms of specificity, linearity, accuracy, range, precision, repeatability, robustness, stability of analytical solution. Results of analysis were validated statistically and by specificity studies. From that it was observed that there is no interference of blank, excipients during the estimation of reference substance in formulation. Conclusion: This shows the adaptability of the method for routine estimation of fluconazole reference. Keywords: Fluconazole, method development, validation, spectrophotometry

Mongolian Pharmacy and Pharmacology.2016;9(2):37-39.

Background: Today over 1 million people have hypertension in the world. 1.5 billion people have symptoms of the diseases living difficulty. The hyperpiesis is 64% brain hemorrhage causes, and 49% of heart attack diseases. Blood pressure or hyperpiesis is the leading cause of adult diseases in Mongolia. With hypertension diagnoses, 19811 people hospitalized in patient treatment and 46022 people have received outpatient care through Mongolia. The most present of Mongolians regularly use medicines for reducing arterial pressure. In this research, we chosen the Enap medicine that is used common; 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg Enap are used at imported and domestic industry in the pharmaceutical market, Mongolia. Aim: To research some indicators of Enap pharmaceutical market which is used common in the treatment by Mongolians. Method: Based on the statistics from Mongolian Customs, when we research about the Enap market, we used the drug economic analysis methods including comparative research methods and content analysis research methods, respectively. Results: Our result shows that the 66.7% of all Enap in Mongolian pharmaceutical market is imported, and other 33.3% medicine is produced in domestic manufacturers, Mongolia. In Mongolia, 8 companies imports the Enap medicines from the biggest farms like KRKA, Denk Pharma, Berlin Chemie and Akrihin-akri. In the comparison research for Enap sales, there are 8 importer companies, the Х1 company sells the most, and it’s 22.4 times much than the lowest sales. In the research for Enap /10mg/average prices, the imported products cost 324 MNT but the domestic products cost 1525 MNT.

Probiotics for the Treatment of Helicobacter Pylori Eradication

Б.Oюунчимэг ; Б.Бадамцэцэг ; Л.Лхагва

Mongolian Pharmacy and Pharmacology.2016;9(2):62-68.

"Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) is considered an etiologic factor for the development of peptic ulcer disease, gastric adenocarcinoma and MALT lymphoma. The combination of a proton pump inhibitor and two antibiotics has been the recommended first line therapy since the first guidelines for Helicobacter pylori infection in patients were published. However, bacterial resistance and adverse events occurrence are among most frequent causes for anti H.pylori treatment failure. More effective anti H.pylori therapy have been investigated in depth by researchers. One of the potential therapies is probiotic cultures; promising results have been observed in initial studies with numerous probiotic strains. Most of studies showed an improvement of H.pylori gastritis and decreasein H.pylori colonization after administration of probiotics. However, utilization of probiotics alone is not able to complete eradication H.pylori infection as published. The combination of some probiotic strains with standard triple therapy can reduce the occurrence of side effect due to antibiotics and increase the H.pylori eradication rate. In this article, we reviewed the possible mechanisms of action of probiotics on H.pylori and results of published studies using probiotics as possible agents to eradicate"

"Introduction A chromatographer always looks forward to getting perfect shaped peaks for each and every analysis but in reality peaks get distorted due to numerous reasons. Distortions are frustrating but if proper corrective steps are taken peak shape distortions can be avoided. Peak purity can be established by taking the ratio of two wavelengths across the peaks of running samples or standard. May, if the peak is pure, then the ratio of wavelengths should be constant across the peak. Otherwise, the peak is impure, then the ratio between two wavelengths will change across the peak as the spectral differences caused by interfering peak change the signal ratio."
