Resuscitation is the medical process of reviving a patient in cardiac arrest or impending cardiac arrest. In this paper, we describe some of the resuscitation research conducted by our group. The discussion will include: using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to describe the geographic epidemiology of pre-hospital cardiac arrest in Singapore, therapeutic post resuscitation hypothermia, and automated cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) using a load-distributing band (LDB) device.

The Proceedings of Singapore Healthcare is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes quality research on all aspects of healthcare and the biomedical sciences, with an emphasis on research of direct clinical relevance. The journal aims to improve the quality of care to patients by informing and stimulating discussion among health professionals. Although the journal has a geographical focus on healthcare and biomedical research within Southeast Asia, we encourage contributions from all parts of the world.
