Clinical Observation on 60 Cases of Chronic Pulmonary Heart Disease at Acute Attack Stage Treated with Fei Xin Ning Mixture Conbined with Western Medicine Therapy

Duanqiu ZHOU

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.2001;42(2):89-91.

Sixty cases of chronic pulmonary heart disease at acute attack stage in the treatment group and 60 cases of the control group were treated with oxygen-inspiration, relieving spasm and asthma,anti-infection, and correcting respiratory failure and heart failure as basic treatment. Self-made Chinese drug Fei Xin Ning Mixture was added to the treatment group. In the two groups,15 days constituted one course.Plasma endothelin-1(ET-1) level and hemorheologic indices were determined before and after treatment. Results indicated that the markedly effective rate, effectice rate and the total effective rate in the treatment group were 73.33%,20% and 93.34% respectively, and 35%,33.34% and 68.34% in the control group, with significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups(P<0.01).Plasma endothelin-1 level after treatment in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.01),and the hemorheologic indices in the treatment group decreased significantly as compared with those before treatment or after treatment in the control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).It is suggested that Fei Xin Ning Mixture can obviously increase the total effective rate and decrease plasma endothelin-1 level and improve blood rheology for chronic pulmonary heart disease at acute attack stage, and it has a better therapeutic effect than that of the simple Western medicine treatment.

Clinical Observation on High Colonic Lavement for Delaying Renal Failure in 98 Cases

Pu WANG ; Xiaojuan TAO

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.1992;0(11):-.

Objective: To observe effect of combination of TCM-WM with high colonic lavement for delaying renal failure. Methods: 98 cases of renal failure at compensatory phase were randomly divided into a treatment group treated with high colonic lavement, twice each week. 2 hours each time, and a control group treated with oral administration of coated aldehyde oxystarch,10g each time, thrice each day, 3 months constituting one course. Results: After lavenment. symptoms were improved, deceaseing velosity of the clearance rate of endogenous creatinine in blood and urine slowed lowered, renal survival rate of kidney increased, and the interval of dialasis and other replacement therapy obviously postponed in the treatment group as compared with that before treatment and the control group. Conclusion: The high colonic lavement has obvious therapeutiv effect in delaying renal failure velosity with a smaller stimulation to the stomach and smal intestine. It is an effective way for conservation treatment of renal failure.

Therapeutic Effects of Naolisu Instant Granules for Treatment of 60 Cases of Cerebral Apoplexy at Acute Stage

Xingrong TANG

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.1993;0(01):-.

Objective: To observe clinical therapeutic effect of Naolisu Instant Granules for the patient of cerebral apoplexy at acute stage. Methods'. 90 cases were randomly divided into treatment group of 60 cases and control group of 30 cases. The treatment group was treated by oral administration of Naolisu Instant Granules and the control group was given Venoruton tablets, with oxygen inhalation, decreasing intracranial pressure, controlling blood pressure, preventing and treating infection, keeping water-electrolyte balance in the two groups. The changes of cumulative scores of TCM syndromes, cumulative scores of nerve function defect, and clinical therapeutic effects were compared between groups. Results: There were significant differences be- fore and after treatment in the changes of the cumulative score of TCM syndromes and the nervous function defect in the treatment group (P

Effects of Ganzhikang Capsule on Ultrastructure Changes in Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Rats

Jinyu XIA ; Xueping JIA

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.1993;0(03):-.

Objective: To observe effects of Ganzhikang Capsule on ultrastructures in non-alcoholic fatty liver model rats so as to provide morphological basis for clinical treatment. Methods: Fatty liver model rats were induced by high fat diet, and the effects of Ganzhikang Capsule on microstructures in liver tissue were investigated with Dong Bao Gan Tai used as control medicine. Results: In the model group, serious fatty degeneration of hepatocytes with inflammatory infiltration, degeneration and necrosis, and deforming, swelling of mitochondrion, dilatation of endoplasmic reticulum were found. After treatment of Ganzhikang Capsule, microstructures of hepatocytes restored obviously, fatty degeneration relieved significantly, and Ganzhikang Capsule was superior to Dong Bao Gan Tai in restoration of fatty degeneration (P

Haibin ZHAO

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.1993;0(03):-.

Objective: To investigate intervenient actions of Jianxin Decoction on serum level of tumor necrosis factor-a (TNF-a), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and nitric oxide (NO) in the patient of congestive heart failure (CHF). Methods: 66 cases of CHF were randomized to trial group and control group. 33 cases in each. Control group received routine treatment and the trial group was treated by routine treatment plus Jianxin Decoction for 4 weeks. TNF-a. IL-6 and NO level and cardiac function before and after treatment were investigated. Results: After treatment, serum TNF-a. IL-6 and NO level in both groups were significantly decreased with the trial group decreased more significantly (P

Xi ZOU

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.1993;0(04):-.

Objective: To observe effect of long-term treatment with removing heat and dampness and regulating collateral method on urinary protein in the patient of chronic nephritis. Methods: 43 cases of chronic nephritis were treated by removing heat and dampness and regulating collateral method for one year and the therapeutic effect was observed. Results: Proteinuria was obviously improved in the patient of chronic nephritis. Conclusion: The removing heat and dampness and regulating collateral method is effective for chronic proteinuria in the patient of chronic nephritis. Tripterygium Wilfordii is beneficial to control of proteinuria.

Clinical Study on Treatment of 85 Cases of Gouty Arthritis with Tong Feng Lotion

Shizhao ZHANG ; Hongzhen MA ; Xueming LI

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.2001;42(6):347-349.

One hundred and fifty cases of gouty arthritis were divided into two groups.Treatment group(85 cases) were treated with Tong Feng lotion and control group(65 cases)with external application of Voltaren. Results indicated that Tong Feng lotion could improve clinical symptoms and function of joints, and decrease blood sedimentation, reaction protien C,blood uric acid and blood viscosity; the total effective rate was 89.42% in the treatment group and 75.38% in the control group, with significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05); there was no obvious relation between therapeutic effects and TCM syndrome types.

A Comparative Observation on Relationship Between Biopsy of Gastric Mucosa and TCM Typing of Atrophic Gastritis

Hongyi REN ; Lingdi NIU ; Guanghua LU

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.1992;0(08):-.

300 cases of atrophic gastritis were typed into 3 groups according to TCM principle, viz. Qideficiency of the Spleen-Stomach, Yang-deficiency of the Spleen-Stomach and Yin-deficiency of the Spleen-Stomach. Biopsy specimens were examined pathologically and detection of Helicobactor pylori performed for comparism. Results showed that in the Yin-deficiency type, the severity of lesion in the gastric mucosa and its type of lesion, severity of atrophy of mucosal glands, infiltration of interstitial inflammatory cells were most serious, while for the detection of Helicobactor pylori, it made no difference among all the three types.
