Thinking of improving management of hospital medical periodicals

The management of hospital medical periodicals is now facing many realistic problems such as management system of editorial department, ability of editorial team, quality of articles and outside living environment. Co-publishing periodicals with pharmaceutical enterprises, with foreign publications and innovating publishing model of periodicals have been adopted by some domestic hospitals. By studying cases of periodical management innovation, and summing up the latest domestic point of view on medical periodical management, this paper held the view that the hospital medical periodicals management should be grouped into the framework of hospital scientific research management. Basically, the hospital should focus on solving the problem of management system in priority;developing in a way of specialization, collectivization and brand-orientation;establishing of a high-level editorial team;strengthening international communication and publishing periodicals according to international rules.

Practice and development of key subject of Hunan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention

This article analyzed the basic conditions of the construction for the key subjects in Dis-ease Control and Prevention institutions (CDC), and described the status quo, development direction and goal of the key subject construction using Hunan province CDC (HNCDC) as an example. Finally, it was discussed that four important aspects of the work should be paid more attention during the key subject con-struction in HNCDC.

Review on award of academic and technical senior titles for eight years in Tianjin Medical University General Hospital

This paper reviewed the award of the title for senior professional post from four aspects: changing process of the technical post title enforcement efficiency, characteristic and problem, in Tianjin Medical University General Hospital in recent eight years. It was indicated that the new evaluation of high ranking professional title played a rule in inspiring and leading effect on the teaching and research of the hos-pital.

Survey of influence factors and tactics for appropriate health technology extension and ability of rural doctors in Liaoning province

Objective To know the ability of rural health doctors, find out the scope of job satis-faction and desire of training and extending for chosen extending rural health doctors. Methods Various factors were analyzed, which affect the appropriate health technology extension in rural areas based on the study in Liaoning province with the method of the questionnaire and the categorical data statistics. Results The quality of medical human resources in rural area was low. The main influencing factors for training were practicality of the training, rescannable time and whether increasing income. Meanwhile, The appropriate health technology extension was affected by the rationality, validity, safety of techniques, acceptance degrees of patients as well as the individual professional basis. Conclusion It was necessary to focus on continued medical education to improve the rural doctor's ability. Some tactics was also put forward to promote the technology extension effect. This study provided some suggestions which could be used as references for the government making decision.

Bibiometrics on scientific papers of health policy research literatures from 1978 to 2007

With the method of bibliometric analysis, we analyzed the scientific papers on health pol-icy research embodied by CBMdisc from 1978 to 2007. It was found that the status quo of studies on health policy research in China developed rapidly. And the core journals has preliminarily formed , there were a number of highly productivity authors, besides the Ministry of Health and universities were the main units of output of health policy research papers although core authors not yet appeared.

Overview of Fuwai hospital research platforms and their operating results

Fuwai Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences constructed three research plat-forms by integration of resources in 2004 which included central laboratory, pathophysioiogy center and ani-mal center. It mainly aimed to provide the use of equipment, technical training, guidance and experimental animals, etc. For hospital researchers and graduate students in this paper, we reviewed the three research platforms and analyzed the positive effect of research platforms on personnel training and promoting the re-search and development of the hospital.

Study on inner operating mechanism of innovation teams based on the theory of complex adaptive system

Innovation team is an independent and open complex adaptive system, which provides new ideas for recognizing and understanding the inner operating mechanism of innovation teams. This article analyzed the mechanisms of communication and exchange, competition and cooperation, incentive and con-straint as well as the conflict management from the perspective of complex adaptive system.

Discussion about archive management for drug clinical trials

This article elaborated on the importance of collecting archives of drug clinical trails. Taking the drug clinical trial archives into account, the first value is the effort of clinical researchers. Sec-ond, the archives of drug clinical trials are the requirement to obtaining the evaluation before the new drug projects are approved. Third, the archives are the important evidence as getting professional certification from relevant drug research organizations and governmental officials. Making good drug clinical archive man-agement depends on the system and relevant regulations. A system should clarify the responsibilities of the collectors and managers for the archival materials. It also should make clear what are needs for collection, the rule of project numbering, and the rule of transferring. A good system also establishes the functionalities of monitoring and controlling. Last, the article pointed out the usual problem appeared in archive manage-ment of drug clinical trials.

Analysis of failure reasons for applying National Natural Science Foundation of China and improvement of application gain rate

To analyze the failure reasons for application of Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and discuss their roles in improving the gain rate. By the retrospective method the failure reasons for natural nature science foundation were analyzed in Beijing Neurosurgery Institute from 2004 to 2008, and set up corresponding measures. Through summarizing the feed back opinions of 45 of application failure pro-jects it was found that the failures were dealt with insufficient of reliability, basis for argumentation , objec-tive ambiguous, personnel allocation unreseasonable and no time guarantee for project pedormance. A higher gain rate could be achieved by analyzing the failure reasons and making corresponding countermeasures.

Analysis on published scientific papers by professionals of Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Guangdong Province from 2001 to 2006

Objectives Through analyzing the published scientific papers by the professionals of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Guangdong Province(GDCDC) from 2001 to 2006,to put forward some suggestions for the research management,the discipline development and the personnel training.Methods Literature quantitative analysis and health statistics methods were used to analyze these papers.Results The professionals of GDCDC published a total of 924 papers with an annual average of 154 in 114 kinds of periodicals from 2001 to 2006 of the 924 papers.264 papers(28.6%) were published in the key Chinese periodicals,320 papers(34.6%)in the South China Journal of Preventive Medicine,68 papers (7.4%)in the Chinese Journal of Health Laboratory Technology and 51 papers(5.5%)in the China Public Health.Of the 924 papers,433 papers(46.9%)belonged in the field of health laboratory technology,354 papers(38.3%)in the field of disease prevention and control,and 70 papers(7.6%)in the field of public health.During the six years,79.2% of the total professionals Published at least one paper,58professionals published at least six papers.Of the 924 corresponding authors.56.8% aged 30～40 years old.48.9% had a bachelor degree,and 45.9% had a senior professional title.Conclusions In recent years,the quantity and quality of papers published by the professionals of GDCDC were improved.The professional's ability to conduct scientific research was enhanced and the research level of GDCDC wag raised year by year.The predominant specialties of the academic research were in the field of health laboratory technology and disease prevention and control.But the professional work and discipline development of Public health should be sirengthened further.
