Implications of partial plasma coagulation factor activity in acute coronary syndrome

Objective To investigate the activity of partial plasma coagulation factor activity and its clinical significance in occurrence of acute coronary syndrome(ACS). Methods The activities of co-agulation factors(FⅤ.C, FⅦ :C, FⅧ :C, FⅩ:C and FⅪ :C) were measured in 100 patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI group) and 69 patients with unstable angina pectoris in acute stage(UAP group), the results were compared with those of 120 cases of stable angina pectoris(SAP group) and 80 healthy controls(heahhy control group). The relationship was analyzed between activities of coagu-lation factors and A MI as well as acute stage UAP. Results The patients with acute myocardial infarc-tion and unstable angina pectoris in acute phase had significantly higher plasma FⅤ.C, FⅦ :C, FⅧ :C, FⅩ:C and FⅪ :C compared with those of healthy and SAP subjects(P<0.05) ; there were no sig-nificant differences of the above activities between SAP group and healthy control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Significantly higher activation of FⅤ.C, FⅦ :C, FⅧ :C, FⅩ:C and FⅪ :C and a hyper-coagulabale state exist in acute coronary syndrome(ACS) patients in acute stage.

Drag resistance diversity of 1731 Pseudomonsd aeruginosa at Xinxiang City

Objective To explore the drug resistance diversity of pseufomonsd aeruginosa.Methods We did sensitivity experiments by 23 antibiotic of 1731 pseudomonad aeruginosa identified from clinic during 1997 to 2008,Results In 1 731 pseudomonad aeruginosa,the samples were main from phlegm,accounted for 58.5%.the second from secretion accounted for 24.7%.The drug resistance of pseudomonad aeruginosa for ampicillin、cefazolin and cefuroxime sodium were all higher than 90%,the second were trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole 83.2%.The antibacterial medicines of drug resistance higher than 70%were netilmicn(75.2%)、ofloxacin(70.4%)、tetracycline(74.1%)、choramphenicol(72.0%).The antibacterial medicines of drug resistance Iower than 30%were Cefoperazone/Sulbactam、cefepime、imipenem、ceftazidme.In 12 years,the drug resistance diversity had enhanced prevalent trend.The enhanced speed of proportion drug was slow in 2004~2007,but it was fast again in 08 year.Conclusion The pseudomonad aeruginosa have become one of the most clinical routine nosogenetic germs.It showed single and anti muhiresistance of antibioties seriously.In order to improve antibacterial treating effect,we should inspect the drug resistance continuously in our area.We could select rationally antibacterial medicine according to the result of medicine sensitivity experiments.

The expressions of matrix metalloproteinase-9 and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 in the endometrium of women with unexplained infertility

Objective To study the expression situation of matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) in the endometrium of women with unexplained infertility and normal endometrium, and to explore the relationship between MMP-9/TIMP-1 expres-sion and unexplained infertility. Methods Immunohistochemieal assay(SP method) was employed to deteet the expression of MMP-9/TIMP-1 in 20 cases of impaired endometrium(unexplained infertility group,endometrial plantation window phase)and 20 cases of normal endometrium(heahhy control group). Results There were different levels of MMP-9/TIMP-1 expression in kytoplasms of glandular epicytes and stromal cells of all endometrial samples. The expression of MMP-9/TIMP-1 was signifi-cantly weaker in unexplained infertility group than that in healthy control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Low expression of MMP-9/TIMP-1 in the endometrial plantation window phase may be one of impor-tant factors for unexplained infertility.

The clinical significance of S/CO qualitative determination of hepatitis B surface antibody

Objective To study the relativity of S/CO qualitative determination of hepatitis B surface antibody and quantitative assay.Methods The different concentrations of sera were determined with time-resolved fluorescence immunoassay and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The standard curve was drawn and the equation was established.Results In the curve, S/CO level was positively correlative to the quantitative detection value, and the conversion equation was Y=8.911 8×e0.177 4X.The intraclass correlation coefficient of S/CO calculating level and quantitative value was 0.934.Conclusion The content of hepatitis B surface antibody can be estimated by S/CO value. It can be used in basic-level laboratories which don′t undertake the quantitative determination of HBV markers.

Changes of plasma endothelin, thromboxame B2and 6-keto-PGF1αin patients with coronary heart disease after PTCA

Objective To explore the regularity of changes of plasma endothelin (ET), throm-boxame B2(TXB2) and 6-keto-prostaglandin F1α(6-keto-PGF1α) and restenosis after percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTCA) in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods Radioimmunoas-say was applied to measuring plasma levels of ET, TXB2and 6-keto-PGF1αat 0,30 min, 1 day and 3 days after PTCA in 41 patients with coronary heart disease. Results The level of ET in the patients with coronary heart disease was significantly decreased in 30 minutes after PTCA (P<0.05), but no significant difference was observed in 1 day and 3 days after PTCA (P>0.05). The level of plasma TXB2has no statistical difference after PTCA in 30minutes, 1 day and 3 days (P>0.05). The level of 6-keto-prostaglandin F1α(6-keto-PGF1α) of the patients with coronary heart disease was significantly declined in 30 minutes after PTCA (P<0.05) ,but no significant difference was observed in 1 day and 3 days after PTCA (P>0.05). Conclusion PTCA may lead to fluctuation of plasma levels of ET, TXB2and 6-keto-PGF1αThe clarification of changing regularity of these vasoactive substances contrib-utes to prevention of acute artery occlusion or restenosis after PTCA.

The distribution and drug resistance of hospital infected Chryseobacterium meningosepticum

Objective To investigate the distribution and drug resistance of Chryseobacterium meningosepticum(CM)in our hospital.Methods The status of drug resistance of 73 strains of CM isolated from our hospital in the past 5 years was statistically analyzed.Metallo-β-lactamase producing isolates were screened by double-disk synergy test.Results The rate of metallo-β-laetamase producing Chryseobacterium meningosepticum(CM) accounted for 37.0%,which mainly distributed at intensive care unit(ICU).The resistant rates of CM clinical isolates to piperacillin/tazobactam,vancomycin and levofloxacin were 45.2%,40.6% and 28.5%,respectively.Conclusion CM displays multi-resistance to antibiotics.Antimicrobial agents should be selected rationally by clinicians according to antimicrobial susceptibility test results.

Analysis on thalassemia gene of 4 657 household people in Yantian district of Shenzhen city

Objective To investigate the carrying rate and genotype of thalassemia in the household population of Yantian dis-trict in Shenzhen city so as to provide the scientific basis for Thalassemia genetic counseling,prenatal diagnosis and prevention plan. Methods 3 mL of anticoagulation blood by EDTA-K2 was extract for conducting the whole blood cells analysis.With the mean cor-puscular volume(MCV)<80 fL as the preliminary screening test,then the suspected cases were performed the DNA extraction for conducting the gene test.In theα-thalassemia detection,4 pairs of PCR primer were used to amplify in the same reaction system and the results were analyzed according to the band after the agarose gel electrophoresis.In theβ-thalassemia detection,the PCR product sequencing was adopted.Results After the preliminary screening,4 657 suspected cases all were performed the gene detection.510 carriers with thalassemia gene were detected out with the thalassemia gene carrying rate of 10.95%,including 389 cases carryingα-thalassemia gene with the carrying rate of 8.35%,which was dominated by α-3.7,α-4.2 and α-SEA,and 121 cases carrying βthalassemia gene with the carrying rate of 2.59%,which was dominated by CD41.42,LVS-Ⅱ-654,CD17 and CD71.Conclusion The carrying rate of thalassemia gene in the household population of Yantian district was 10.95%,which is closed to that in other districts within Guangdong province,all of the 8 detected genotypes of thalassemia are the common types.

Application value of procalcitonin quantitative detection in diagnosis of pediatric bloodstream infection

Objective To explore the application value of serum procalcitonin(PCT)quantitative detection in diagnosing pediat-ric bloodstream infection.Methods The results of 183 cases of blood culture and simultaneous PCT detection in a hospital from February to November 2013 were analyzed retrospectively.The patients were divided into the non-bloodstream infection group and the bloodstream infection group according to the blood culture results as the golden standard.The differences of serum PCT concen-tration were compared between the two groups by the Mann-Whitney U test.Results The serum PCT concentration was 0.15 (0.065-0.55)ng/mL in the non-bloodstream infection group and 1.11(0.505-8.975)ng/mL in the bloodstream infection group, the difference was statistically significant(P =0.000);with 0.50ng/mL as the cut-off value of diagnosis,the sensitivity and the spe-cificity of PCT was 77.8% and 73.3% respectively,the positive and pegative predictive value of PCT was 24.1% and 96.8% re-spectively.Conclusion The quantitative detection of PCT can assist in rapidly diagnosing or excluding bloodstream infection and provides reference for avoiding the overuse of antibiotics or conducting the early anti-infection therapy.
