Through analyzing the significance of three choices facing medical students,namely, postgraduate examination,employment and clinical training,the author pointed out that the inner contra-dictions of the three lie in time conflicts,incomplete national policy and the trade-off among medical col-leges,teaching hospitals and medical students. To resolve the conflicting issues above,the author advised students to adjust the time,strengthen management and ideological educations,improve teaching meth-ods and increase the weight of clinical knowledge in the postgraduate examination and employment.
