OBJECTIVE: To make clear and forecast the current situation and trend of botanical injectiones used in Kun- ming. METHODS: With sequencing method, the sum of money, amount of consumption and DDDs of botanical injectiones, used in three typical hospitals of Kunming from 1996 to 1999, were analyzed. RESULTS: The sum of money and DDDs increased rapidly .Compared with 1996, sum of money increased 65% and DDDs rose 37% in 1999. The sum of money, amount of con- sumption and DDDs were grouped on cardiocerebrovascular, anti-infective and antineoplastic drugs. CONCLUSION: There is market potential for botanical injectiones.
