Abstract

Objective To explore the teaching effect and influencing factors of blended bilingual teaching in medical nursing. Methods The blended bilingual teaching model was designed and applied in 97 undergraduate nursing students of class 2013 from October to November 2015. After the course, a test and a self-design questionnaire were used to assess the teaching effect of blended bilingual teaching, and the multiple linear regression was also used to the analyze influencing factors. Results Students′ test score were (82.64 ±9.08) points, 1 student did not participate in the examination; as for the cognitive attitude, 62. 89% of the students were satisfied with the teaching model; during the learning process, students spent 1. 56 hours on average on preview and 2. 22 hours on review. Multiple linear regression showed that English level and classroom participation affect test scores significantly (P<0.05).Conclusions Blended bilingual teaching is an effective and feasible teaching model. Strengthening the training of public English and encouraging students to participate in teaching activities are important strategies to improve the teaching effect of bilingual teaching.
