Objective To investigate the application and nursing measures of portable chemotherapy pump concomitant with peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC)in the treat-ment of tumors.Methods Sixty-four patients with tumors underwent portable chemotherapy pump concomitant with PICC from March 2012 to September 2013 in our hospital were treated with whole nursing.Results All patients completed the predicated treatment,in which 4 with drug leakage (6.25%)and 3 with phlebitis (4.69%).Conclusion Application of portable chemothera-py pump concomitant with continuous perfusion of PICC have favorable therapeutic effect and can effectively reduce rates of complications and adverse responses when added with whole nursing, which can also improve patients′quality of lives.
