Abstract: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive neurological disease. Its main clinical features include progressive memory loss, cognitive dysfunction, behavioral disorders and decreased ability of daily living. Its etiology is complex, and there is no effective treatment at present. There are many ways to delay or prevent the disease and improve its symptoms, including some drugs to improve neurological symptoms, activity, diet, cognitive training, and so on. In addition, some scholars have tried to treat AD by surgical methods. This article reviews the surgical methods for the treatment of AD.
