- Abstract: Abstract:According to the traditional view, campus bullying is a kind of intentional injury behavior. However, recent research indicates that campus bullying is also purpose oriented, and teenagers may intend to gain social status at school through bullying perpetration. Adolescents status acquisition strategies (bullying and prosocial behavior) and status evaluation methods (social preference and perceived popularity) interact with each other. This process is closely related to adolescents peer group, developmental stage, personality traits, and beliefs. Prevention of campus bullying involves identifying and targeting status oriented bullies with targeted interventions.
