Abstract:
With the improvement of perinatal medical technology, the proportion and number of hospitalized premature babies, especially very low and ultra-low birth weight babies, increase year by year.However, premature infants need parenteral nutrition (PN) support early in life due to their own characteristics.PN provides temporary nutritional support for very low birth weight infants and ultra-low birth weight infants when they cannot tolerate enteral feeding, capable of improving the survival rate and prognosis of preterm infants.Fat emulsion constitutes an important part of PN and acts as energy supply.It can provide essential fatty acids at the same time.In this article, the research progress in the rational use of fat emulsion was reviewed.
