Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of implantation of Viabahn covered stent for emergency treatment of iatrogenic iliofemoral artery injury. Methods Clinical data of 7 patients with iatrogenic iliofemoral artery injury who underwent emergent Viabahn covered stent implantation were retrospectively analyzed. The success rate of intervention, the time of operation, treatment effect and complications were counted. Results Viabahn stents were successfully implanted in all the 7 patients, and the success rate was 100% (7/7). The time of operation was 30-55(34.36±9.13)min. No bleeding after operation occurred. During 1 month following-up, all patients were in stable conditions. No complication such as puncture point hematoma, artery or stent thrombosis, internal leakage nor stents shifting occurred. Conclusion: Endovascular repairment of iatrogenic iliofemoral artery rupture hemorrhage with Viabahn covered stent is safe and effective.
