Abstract:Novel coronavirus pneumonia, NCP, as an emerging infectious disease with high infectiousness, has brought new challenges to prevention and control of infectious diseases in schools. When facing the emerging infectious diseases, schools should play a full role of preventing and controlling school-based infectious diseases. Firstly, schools should use and propagandize Chinese laws, regulations and health systems about infectious diseases prevention and treatment including prevention and control of infectious diseases in schools. Secondly, schools should establish and unblock a long-term infectious disease prevention and control system. Thirdly, schools should attach importance to the establisment of a professional school doctor team(school health teacher). Fourthly, schools should provide school health education and collaborate with school health supervision professionals. The fort role of school health work in the prevention and control of NCP, especially after students return to school, should be fully embodied in order to with stand the challenge from new infectious diseases and guarantee safety and health of students and teachers.
