Abstract:
The elderly patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)is progressively increasing along with population ageing in China.The elderly people possess unique clinical characteristics and pathophysiology.The clinical decision for the elderly with CHD may be different from that for the young with CHD.Different types of coronary heart disease are summarized, and data from clinical trials worldwide over the past 10 years are presented in this review in order to provide the basis for CHD treatment in the elderly.
