Expression and Clinical Significance of Long Non-Coding RNA PRAL in Patients with Multiple Myeloma.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the expression and clinical significance of long non-coding RNA PRAL in patients with multiple myeloma(MM).
METHODS:Clinical data of 60 MM patients and 60 healthy people with the same age(as controls) were selected. Real time-quantitative fluorescence PCR (RT-qPCR) was used to determine the expression levels of serum LncRNA PRAL in the patients and controls, and the relationship of its expression with the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of patients was analyed.
RESULTS:LncRNA PRAL expression in MM patients was significantly lower than that in healthy people (F=13.294, P<0.001). LncRNA PRAL expression correlated with D-S staging and ISS staging in MM patients. PAD efficacy was significantly improved in MM patients with high expression of LncRNA PRAL, and median survival time was significantly prolonged (P<0.05).
CONCLUSION:LncRNA PRAL expression decreases in MM patients, while MM patients with high expression of LncRNA PRAL can obtain better therapeutic efficacy and longer survival time.
