Abstract: Previous studies have demonstrated that Java ginger ( Zingiber purpureum) that is called ‘Bangle’ in Indonesia have some kinds of cognitive effects. In order to evaluate the safety of Java ginger bangle, we studied the genotoxicity by micronucleus test. The result shows that Java ginger bangle have no effect inducing appearance of micronucleus.
