Abstract:
Orthostatic hypotension (OH) is one form of orthostatic intolerance.The etiology is complicated.OH may be caused by autonomic dysfunction in children without a disorder of the neurologic,cardiovascular,or endocrine system.Symptoms of OH include light-headedness,dizziness,visual blurring,fatigue,nausea,palpitations and headache beginning within seconds to a few minutes after standing.The method of diagnosis is active standing test or head-up tilt test.Non-drug therapy is recommended as first choice,if necessary can be combined with drug therapy.
