Abstract:
Immunoglobulin (Ig)G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a new multi-organ immune-me-diated disease, which was characterized by multiple organs involvement, high serum IgG4 concentrations and IgG4+ plasma cells infiltration. Early diagnosis is helpful for the treatment and prognosis evaluation. Im-aging can provide important diagnostic bases for IgG4-RD, but conventional imaging methods are difficult to determine the overall involvement of the patient. 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/ CT can display the changes of morphology and metabolism in involved organs, and can be used in the diagnosis, guidance of bi-opsy, therapeutic response monitoring and recurrence of IgG4-RD. This review summarizes the applications of 18 F-FDG PET/ CT in patients with IgG4-RD.
