Evaluation of periodontal tissue regeneration combined with orthodontics in the treatment of periodontitis

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of periodontal tissue regeneration surgery combined with orthodontics in the treatment of periodontitis.Methods From January 2015 to January 2017,100 patients with periodontitis in the Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital of Cixi were selected in the research.The patients were randomly divided into control group and the observation group according to the digital table,with 50 cases in each group.The control group adopted orthodontic treatment,the observation group adopted periodontal tissue regeneration surgery combined with orthodontic treatment.The clinical efficacy,plaque index,sulcus bleeding index,probing depth,attachment loss,pain score,X-ray projection measurement index were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 96％,which was higher than 82％of the control group(χ2 =5.005,P<0.05).After treatment,the,plaque index,sulcus bleeding index,probing depth,periodontal attachment loss in the observation group were(1.14 ±0.36),(1.96 ±0.64),(3.32 ±0.97)mm,(2.15 ±0.85)mm,respectively,which in the control group were(1.51 ±0.40),(2.73 ±0.87),(4.30 ±1.02)mm,(3.07 ± 0.98)mm,respectively,there were significant differences between the two groups(t=4.862,5.041,4.923,5.015,all P<0.05).The pain score of the observation group was(2.94 ±0.96)points,which was lower than(4.12 ± 1.17)points of the control group,there was statistically significant difference between the two groups(t=5.513,P<0.05).The SNA angle and SNB angle of the observation group were(71.24 ±4.98)°,(72.85 ±1.07)°,respectively,which of the control group were(76.59 ±5.40)°,(74.13 ±1.39)°,respectively,there were statistically significant differences between the two groups(t=5.150,5.160,all P<0.05).Conclusion Periodontal regeneration surgery combined with orthodontics in the treatment of periodontitis can improve the curative effect,and can effectively reduce periodontal inflammation,bleeding,pain,etc,and can effectively correct the deformity teeth.
