Abstract:
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease. TCM theory believes that wind, cold, and dampness result in RA, with the external dampness as the mian pathogenic factor. With the observation and research on the deepening of the disease, the role and significance of internal-caused phlegm-dampness in this disease can not be ignored. Phlegm-dampness can cause obesity and fat accumulation in RA patients, and the secretion of adipokines in the occurrence and development of RA and the treatment effect also have a corresponding impact. Therefore, attention should be paid to the significance of internal-caused phlegm-dampness in the course of RA disease.
