Abstract:
The tele-intensive care has obvious advantages for settling the shortage of intensivists, significantly improving patient care in under-served and under-resourced ICUs,decreasing ICU mortality, shortening length of stays in the ICU and hospital,increasing staff adherence to best practices. But the tele-ICU′cost-effectiveness and practice models have a lot of confusions.Further studies are needed in the areas.For successfully implementing tele-ICU,some elements such as data security,legal and institutional guarantee,staff acceptance,management and quality improvement,patient and family understanding are basic. More better above-mentioned,more widely used of tele-ICU and globalizing of tele-critical care.
