Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effect of improved hyperbaric oxygen therapy on blood lipids and blood rheology for cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 80 patients with cerebral infarction was chosen in Yiyang Central Hospital and Yiyang People's Hospital from January 2014 to June 2014.Among them,40 cases were chosen as experimental group, and the other 40 cases as control group. All the patients received 4-course hyperbaric oxygen treatment. The blood lipids and blood rheology were observed before and after therapy. Results (1) As for two groups, total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG) and low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) levels were decreased obviously, while high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) level rose obviously after 4-course hyperbaric oxygen treatment, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05).Although the same results were observed in experimental group after treatment compared to the control group after treatment (P < 0.05).(2) The whole index for blood rheology of two groups decreased significantly after the treatment (P < 0.05).In addition, there was a statistically significant decline in hemorheology index for experimental group after treatment compared to the control group after treatment (P < 0.05).Conclusions Compared to the traditional treatment programs, the improved hyperbaric oxygen therapy can significantly improve the index for blood lipids and blood rheology.
