Abstract:
Barrett's esophagus (BE)is a commonly seen upper gastrointestinal motility dysfunction disease, and it is a serious complication of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The occurrence and development of BE are related to multiple factors, and is the result of weakening of anti-reflux defense mechanism and attack of reflux contents on esophageal mucosa. Among them, the dysfunction of upper gastrointestinal motility plays an important role, including dysfunction of esophagogastric junction (EGJ)high-pressure zone, increased transient lower esophageal sphincter relaxation, esophageal body movement dysfunction, delayed gastric emptying and esophageal hiatal hernia. This article reviewed the dysfunction of upper gastrointestinal motility in BE.
