- Abstract: OBJECTIVE To understand the pathogens of nosocomial pneumonia and resistance status and to guide clinical application of antibacterial drugs.METHODS Retrospective analysis of the 1783 nosocomial pneumonia cases in Jan 2004 to Dec 2007 was investigaed.RESULTS A total of 1507 sputum samples were submitted, and the 863 isolates of pathogens were detected of which G-bacilli were 629(72.89%),G+cocci were 40(4.63%) and fungi were 194(22.48%).CONCLUSIONS The nosocomial pneumonia is basically increasing year by year, ranked first pathogens are G-bacilli,especially Acinetobacter. It must be timely monitored the distribution and the resistance status of pathogens to guide early clinical empirical medication, and reduce the formation of drug resistant strains.
