Abstract:
Objective To investigate the antineoplastic constituents of marine sponge Stelletta tenuis Lindgren. Methods Antineoplastic compounds were screened by bioassay-guided method, and by a combination of partition and purification with suitable solvent and multiple column chromatographies.Structures were determined on the basis of spectral analyses as well as the comparison of the spectral data with those reported in literatures. Results Eight isomalabaricane triterpenes were isolated. The structures were elucidated as stellettin B(1),C(2),D(3),E(4),rhabdastrellic acid A(5),stellettin H(6),22,23-dihydrostellettin B(7),geoditin A(8).Conclusion Compounds 1~8 were isolated from marine sponge Stelletta tenuis Lindgren in the South China Sea for the first time, the ~(1)H NMR and ~(13)C NMR data of those compounds were assigned by using 2D NMR spectroscopic analysis.
