- Abstract: Ribonucleic acid (RNA) was extracted from Pinctada martensii and Pinna pectinata at a weak alkaline environment by removing the protein and fat through adding phenol and chloroform. It also reported the antitumor activity of RNA on mice with sarcoma-180 and has discovered that RNA has an obvious effect of inhibiting the tumor growth in mice with the inhibition rates being ranged from 41. 2% to 45. l%,and 38. 8% , respectively.
