Abstract:
A minute observation and measurement of macro--microsanatomy of radial dis-tal epiphysial and metaphysial arteries have been made on 30 dissected cadaversof children with perfusion of local vessels and vasography. Radial distal epiphysi-al and metaphysial arteries originate from three different systems: radial, inter--osseous, and arcus dorsal carpal arteries. Of them, the incidence of radial systemis the highest. It is the main source of radial distal blood supply. The forms ofdisposition of the radial distal epiphysial and metaphysial arteries of childrenare of three different types: via arcuate, oblique, and verticalis. Here, the regular pattern of blood supply of epiphysial cartilage is discussed, and the relation between the epiphysialand metaphysial arteries and the injury andprognosis of radial distal epiphysial cartilage is explained, and thus an anato-mical base for analyzing and understanding the diseases of radial distal epiphysialcartilage is provided.
