Detecting IL-2 and IL-10 to predicate treatment outcome for Graves disease

Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the IL-2 and IL-10 changes impact of treatment outcome in Graves disease(GD).Methods:From January 2007 to December 2008,72 cases of patients with GD in our hospital were detected IL-2 and IL-10 and thyroid hormone levels before and after treatment respectively,the relationship between the IL-2 and IL-10 level with prognosis was evaluated.Results:There are 21 cases of GD in patients with uncontrolled hyperthyroidism,35 cases with hyperthyroidism control,16 cases of early-onset hypothyroidism.The level of IL-2 in uncontrolled hyperthyroidism were the highest,followed by hyperthyroidism control,and in early-onset hypothyroidism were the lowest(P 0.05).Conclusion:The higher IL-2/IL-10 ratio shows more difficult for control hyperthyroidism,the lower IL-2/IL-10 ratio shows more easy to produce hypothyroidism;IL-2/IL-10 is a good predictor for GD treatment outcome.
