Abstract:
To decrease the intraocular pressure before the cataract operation, ocular oppression has been used in clinic as a routine. In this prospective study,an attempt was made to find out the individual diffe- ernce of intraocular pressure and its reaction to reducer among the senile cataract patients.A series of 90 cases was collected. The stainless steel reducer made by ourselves was put on both eyes lasting for fifteen minutes. The intraocular pressure was measured with Schiotz tonometer before and after the reducer was given. The results showed that in the senile cataract patients, the mean intraocular pressure was higher in females than in males(t test,p 0.05).After the reducer was put on the eyes lasting for fifteen minutes, the intraocular pressure obviously dropped no matter what sex or weight index. The reduction ranged from 0.59 to 0.75 kPa(t test,p
