Abstract:
Based on the extensive survey of Piper kadsura (Choisy) Ohwi in the herba-lisms and its main habitats, it was confirmed that the description of Piper kadsura (Choisy) Ohwi in Acta Phytotaxonomv Sinica was not in conformity with its morphological character observed in the herbalisms and its- main habitats. This may be one of the main reasons why identification of Piper kadsura(Choisy)Ohwi is thrown into confusion. After tracing the primitive record, we have given a revised morphological description of Piper kadsura (Choisy) Ohwi in this paper.
