Abstract:
Glutaraldehyde, as a sterilizing agent, is a broad spectrum, reliable effect, low toxicity, thrill and causticity with longer period of validity, so it is widely used in the hospitals. But in clinic application there were increasing evidences that glutaraldehyde has toxicity to human body. It can solidify the tissue, mucous membrane and skin, also affect the healing up of the wound. Physiological property of glutaraldehyde was briefly introduced in this paper and the features in application of glutaraldehyde and the merit and potential toxicity to human body were also presented in details.
