Abstract:
The protamine dose response curve was studied to calculate the protamine dose for reversal of heparin action at end of cardiopulmonary bypass. As compared to the heparin dose response curve, this study showed that dosage of protamine given was reduced about 51%. the incidence of postoperative bleeding was obviously decreased. The use of the protamine dose response curve may also prevent postoperative coagulation complication due to overdosage or shortrge of protamine for neutralization
