Abstract:
Objective To explore the sanitary qualities of physical and chemical indexes of water dip solution of cement. Methods The dynamic determination on the indexes of water quality, such as color, turbidity, smell and taste, iron, manganese, copper, zinc, volatile phenol, arsenic, mercury, lead, silver and fluoride etc., in water solution (0.02 g/ml) for dipping 10 g cement sample was carried out at the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 10th, 20th and the 30th day during the whole dipping period. Results The levels of the indexes metioned above not only revealed no significant variations during the whole dipping period of 30 days, but also accorded with the requirement of the National Sanitary Standard for Water of Dipping Protective Materials Contacting with Drinking Water. The pH value decreased from 11.59 at the 1st day to 10.02 at the 30th day of dipping period (r=-0.998, P
