Abstract:
Treatment was carried out in 79 cases of diabetic nephropathy. On the basis of strict control of diabetes, Dipyrida-mole and Savia Miltiorrhizae (丹参) were given in 23 cases and 32 cases respectively, together with another 24 cases as a control group. In the groups with Dipyridamole and Savia Miltiorrhizae therapy fasting plasma glucose and urinary protein were decreased significantly and the creatinine clearance rate (Ccr) was increased. But the decrements of both fasting plasma glucose and urinary protein and the increment of Ccr showed no significant difference statistically as compared with the control group. It is essential to control the hyperglycemia, since the renal function can only be improved at the early stage of diabetic nephropathy when the hyperglycemia is well controlled. The drugs mentioned above did not improve the treatment. On the contrary, antihyperlensive therapy is important to improve the renal function.
