Clinical observation of puncturing Shaoyang acupoints for patients with migraine

Abstract:
Objective To observe the clinical efficay of puncturing Shaoyang acupoints for patients with migraine without aura.Methods Forty patients with migraine were divided into Shaoyang acupoint group and Yangming acupoint group with 20 cases each.The headache intensity was compared between two groups.Results Compared with Yangrning acupoint group,headache intensity of patients with moderate or severe headache in Shaoyang group was significantly decreased [(3.90± 1.10) scores vs.(4.70 ± 1.20)scores],and there was significant difference (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Migraine without aura patients with moderate or severe headache in Shaoyang group can be significantly alleviated compared with those in Yangming group.
