- Abstract: Objective To evaluate the predictive value both high levels of serum uric acid and hv- perlipemia on the incidence of coronary heart disease and acute coronary event. Methods Aner smoking and body-weight were controlled, different serum uric acid and LDL-C/HDL-C on the incidence of acute coronary event in 248 patients with angiographieally proven coronary artery disease(including unstable angi- na pectoris and acute myocardial infarction)were analyzed, comparing with 220 patients with normal one as control. Results Serum uric acid[(378.6±156.8)μmol/L]and LDL-C/HDL-C(2.83±2.60)on the incidence of coronary heart disease were significantly higher than that in control [(336.2±78.4)μmol/L, 1.68±0.82 respectively].Multiple regression analysis revealed the levels of serum uric acid and HDL-C had a regression relation with acute coronary eventi excluding some effect factors, such as age, sex, blood press, serum glucose, and high levels of the both two indexs on the incidence of acute coronary event was predomi- nant higher than that of any single one. Conclusion The predictive value both high of serum uric acid and LDL-C/HDL-C for acute coronary event are significant.
