Abstract:
Objective To explore the treatment effect and pathogeny of hypoglycemia in newborn.Methods Blood sugar of 278 infants who suffered from possibility of hypoglycemia were monitored. ResultsThe symptoms of 86 cases with hypoglycemia were untypical. The common clinical findings were suffocation in 35 cases(40.7%), premature infant and small-for-date infant in 27cases(30.7%), feeding difficulty in 12 cas-es(13.9%),infection in 6 cases(7.0%), mother with diabetes in 6 cases(4.7%), hemorrhage in 2 cases (2.3%). Conclusion To be likely to suffer from hypoglycemia, newborn' s bood sugar level needs to monitor frequently. Early diagnosis and corrective measures could play a large role of avoiding damage to the central nervous system of neonate caused by hypoglycemia.
