Abstract:
Survey on 32 young people who had suicide attempt presented at Emergency Department at Bach Mai Hospital and general clinics in Ha Noi from 12/1996 to 6/1997. Result: 34.3% had diagnosis of some mental disorder. Direct stress trigers were conflict with parents (28.1%), conflict with lover (12.5%) and unwanted pregnancy (6.3%). Suicide attempt was related to difficult delivery (6.3%) and patients of epilepsy with self stimulated treatment interruption. Factors affect to suicide attempt are mental, pchychological and health problems.
