Efficiency of tegretol - anafranil - tens (TAT) schema in the treatment of herpes zoster pain

Abstract:
68 patients contracting herpes zoster give TAT to treat their shingles pain. Disappearance of this one was noted in 13 cases during the 2nd and 3rd week after treatment and in 55 cases during 4th week. The reasons leading to the use of the TAT schema are discussed and the factors governing the different lengths of treatment are analysed. With these good results, this schema should be seen as an effective one to treat herpes zoster pain. However, the question needs to be examined in more detail for large number of patients to get more reliable and convincing findings.
