Abstract:
Dermatomyositis is a multisystem disease characterized by inflammatory myopathy with specific cutaneous findings including heliotroph erythema, Gottron"s papules, lupus erythematosus-like skin lesions, and cutaneous calcinosis . Among them, calcinosis cutis is reported to be more prevalent in juvenile dermatomyositis and often cause long-term disability than dermatomyositis itself. We describe a 7-year-old girl who presented calcified nodule on the right foot 1 year after being diagnosed as juvenile dermatomyositis.
