Abstract:
Life education is of great significance for the healthy, sustainable, and high-quality development of the organ donation and transplantation cause. For the families of potential donors, life education helps them face death squarely, accept the death of their loved ones calmly, and achieve a continuation of life through the choice of organ donation to alleviate grief and express mourning. For organ donation practitioners, life education can assist in enhancing their ability to cope with death, establish a scientific view of life, and achieve personal growth while effectively fulfilling their professional duties. By exploring the views of life and death in traditional Chinese culture and analyzing the importance of life education for deceased organ donation work, this paper attempted to provide recommendations on how to conduct public education and grief counseling for families of potential donors, as well as relevant training and psychological counseling for organ donation practitioners.
