Abstract:
Employing bibliometric analysis methods, this paper retrieved literature on doctor-patient conversation analysis from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) databases from their establishment to March 18, 2024. It analyzed various characteristics with CiteSpace and explored the research status, hotspots, and frontier trends of doctor-patient conversation analysis through visual analysis. The results found that among the 114 documents from CNKI and 337 documents from WOSCC, the United Kingdom and the United States occupied a core position in the research, while Shanxi University and the University of California system demonstrated outstanding productivity in the Chinese and English databases, respectively. International institutional cooperation was close, whereas domestic cooperation was relatively weak. Several scholars, both at home and abroad, had a considerable number of publications and citations. High-impact papers in China were relatively insufficient, and research themes were diverse. Keyword analysis indicated that research hotspots have shifted toward the role of doctor-patient conversations in constructing patient‐centered doctor-patient relationships, while online medical contexts represented an emerging research content.
